He doesn't although he's a pretty big sports fan. Follows the big 4 Boston franchises.

Yeah. And Leicester didn't win the league the season they came up either.

It's funny he pointed out the away section celebration and how cool it looked. From an American perpective that's a really cool aspect. Here, in pro sports, if you're an away fan you just buy regular tickets and then hope no one around you harasses or assaults you.

The relegation thing is another attractive aspect to an outsider.

Is there even a such thing as an away section for regular season games here? Yeah i know teams are allocated tickets but an entire section set aside only for visitors at every stadium/arena?

Not officially in professional sports here AFAIK. It's common for groups of away fans to buy blocks of tickets and sit together but I have been to many MLB (I was at the A's-Angels game yesterday), quite a few NFL games and one NBA game. I have never seen an official away section. I think it's a good idea.

In college football & basketball they have student sections and allocated visitor sections.

I hate Man City. Ruining football with their financial doping. Talking about triggering a 139 million pound release cause for Jack Grealish and pursuing Harry Kane which would cost probably 80-100 million. Financial Fair Play is bullshit.

The American business model is all about somebody else paying for your fuckups. Bail outs. Rigged stock markets etc.

I like relegation. Keeps people sharp. Pay for your own mistakes.

Of course we have the worst of both Worlds right now. People who are financially profligate, who make actually bad business decisions, get away with it for now as they can bail themselves out.

Smaller outfits who don't have good money to throw after bad pay the price.

Nobody in England has the political balls to do anything.

The fans keep going to games.

    People keep buying TV packages.

I look forward to the day it all collapses.

"They let off a bomb and there was blue smoke everywhere. The cops all ran over there. They just told them to knock it off. If that would have happened here, they would have dragged out two rows of people and beaten them."

Didn't Messi just do the same thing with Barca? Even worse, there were pictures of him on some cruise or overseas holiday when he was so supposed to be in training.

Joe Hart? Honest to Christ, the mystery endures: who is making the decisions at Sellik? Must be the same nameless daft cunt who brought in Shane Duffy & that pish rightback from Everton because nobody with a fitbaw brain in his head and certainly not the manager himself thinks Joe fucking Hart is an appropriate fit for a system reliant on a sweeper keeper. Pep dropped Hart years and years and years ago for that noodle arm Bravo because he was SO bad with his feet. Harts bearly played fitbaw since. This is just completely inexplicable..... not to mention dispiriting because now you know there's nobody at the wheel, here.

Never rated Hart, even at his "best" I always thought Forster was Head and Shoulders above him.

We've signed James McCarthy as well. I can live with that since he's diehard Sellik but in terms of our scouting its hardly faith-restoring. 'Right good we got that big goaly aff the tv adverts, check...anyone know any famous tims out of contract? Is Aiden McGeady still playing? No' really....ok, try James McCarthy again'

So the transfer strategy is basically to just look for players that have surnames starting with Mc or O' :Jest:

His deal isn't a hold out. They can't announce his new deal until they dump wages.

It's why I can't put Pep on the same pedestal as the great managers. He is good but he's had it as easy as it gets in terms of purchasing power at every club he's gone to.

He's a fraud. Bayern walks their league every year and City spends billions. Barca had an all time great team that he "managed". He actually failed with Bayern by failing to win the CL and he's still failing at that with City. Actually made me root for Chelsea to beat them and I hate Chelsea horribly. Chelsea started off the financial doping but their spending looks like a Championship team in comparison to City.

We'll never really know. That's the thing about managers at big clubs. City could start the season 0-15, get sacked and Pep could publicly burn every bridge imaginable. There would still be a pile of other clubs still lining up with multi-million dollar contract offers.

Apparently Kane is refusing to return, and Spurs are refusing to sell him to another PL team. They will also fine him. Good.

Business is business though. Pretty sure if City up their offer significantly he's gone. It would be kind of funny if City spend 150+ million and 'Arry ruptured his ACL in his first outing.
