Which was about two times the whole afternoon. Mostly it was the feet going to Sterlings head that I applauded.

Did you see him after the "Handball"........he literally stamped both feet into the ground like Rumpelstiltskin and did fuck all as Liverpool broke down the field. Classic modern brat.

It hit Silvas arm first and the rule is that if a striker handles it in the buildup to a goal then the goal is ruled out. It happened to Mane vs City, and that's why there was no penalty. The ball only rebounded to TAA because it came off Silva first. Silva wouldn't be normally penalized but the rule simply is that if that handball motion by Silva creates an opportunity for City then the opportunity is written off.

I don't know why there is all this anguish from Guardiola, it was plain as day.

After that City basically had two free kicks that Liverpool didn't defend but which City didn't attack properly either.

Next thing it was 3-0 and City only came into it because Liverpool backed off. Even then Pep was crying.

His behaviour at the end was a fucking joke. "Thank you so much". Fuck off you twat.

In a way I understand it, like Vince Lombardi said, "Show me a good loser and I will show you a loser".

BUT....there is a fine line between a bad loser and an utter martyr and victim complex.

Pep's got the most expensive squad in England............there were 4 critical motions between the "Penalty" and the goal.

    1. Sterling and Aguero spend all their time protesting and acting the fanny when they STILL could have scored. Instead they allowed Liverpool to clear. Even if they don't score they are obliged not to let Liverpool clear the ball under their own terms.

    2. Mane takes the ball away and saunters down the field..... and beats £55m John Stones. Stones needed to cut that ball out. Didn't.

    3. The ball is allowed to ping around the box and City have a chance to clear. They don't.

    4. Gundogan then kicks it like a fat kid in the playground, worst clearance ever, a real straight leg kick......straight to Fabinho, who still had it all to do. Keeper needed to be stronger from that range. Fabinho was what, a good 20+ yards out when he hit it.

So I am not sure what Pep is whining about. It's not like Liverpool just kicked the ball down the field and the wind carried it into the goal.

ALWAYS danger. I put £20 on them at 20-1 to blow it. Cos it's happened before.

Sam moronic defenders like Kyle Walker and John Stones. Used to getting their own way vs Wilf Zaha and assorted heroes at Brighton and Sheffield.#

Offense wins fans, Defense wins games and City lost one of the best last season in Kompany.

Now they have two guys not fit to lace his boots doing the defending.

Honestly Kyle Walker is the most overrated sack of poo. He could be called Perry Mason and he still couldn't defend.

    LOL.

Yes City did score more than none in the second half.

Expect Pep to focus on this too in his post-match Rant.

"WE drew the 2nd half...we deserved something".

They won it legit in 1986. England would have lost on penalties in the quarter finals.

1978 was indeed a total sham but hey............what makes me laugh is you get all these fucking Socialists telling everyone how the team was against the Junta....sure.....well the Junta got them into the final.

Getting to the final may have been a sham but Kempes had a field day in the final itself... can't see anything phony about that

The whole tournament should never have taken place and was a total fix.
    Universally agreed fact.

The guy is a fucking twat.

That said the entire article has fed into why England have been failing. Shit coaching and now it turns out that since decades the entire national scene had descended into some muggy bullshit about who plays for who and who fucked who at whose ground at the weekend.

The dressing room is fractured along club lines, a problem exacerbated by some of the infintesmally small intellects people like Sterling possess.

Sterling allegedly walked into the room, saw a FRINGE player like Gomez with some dudes and presumed they were all laughing at him.

    What a child.

It shouldn't have taken place, referees were unduly kind to Argentina at times (particularly against France) and the Peru match was blatantly thrown but some actual football WAS played... The Dutch, even with the pre-match shenanigans could've won that match but they failed to stop Kempes who ran riot ...

Yeah. I remember when they beat England in the WC qualifiers - even though England were the typically toothless squad of the time, Italy took them apart with that great ´mixed-zone´ style of football they´d adopted.
Some outdstanding players too: Zoff, Gentile, Causio, Bettega, Rossi, Graziani - just awesome.

I was disappointed when Holland KO´d them in the last stage...
