I think it's a shame you missed out on Grealish and Rice. I really don't like that you can switch national sides now. How is any nation supposed to develop and become better when any half-decent player that comes through can then go on to play for someone else? It was the real special thing about international football for me, these are your players, you work with what you have, and there's no danger of them leaving.

Yeah they need to make some changes in eligibility. The player should have a direct connection to the country. No more of this one of your grandparents was born somewhere so now can represent that nation on the international stage. No switching sides either. Naturally there are some circumstances where it's understandable, but all these things need to be limited. Like you say, how is a nation supposed to develop when a player can simply select a nation with more upside for them.

Ronaldo x2. If he drags this Man Utd side to the title this year he's the best of all time.

Yep, DISTANT 2nd. The side is bang average and only finished 2nd because Liverpool shat the bed after Van Dijk got injured.

I don't gamble, not because I am against it or anything, I just can't be arsed with setting up an account :Jest:

Still learning at the moment mate, working on an angry birds clone at the moment, just to get to grips with programming physics etc, going quite well so far, so I think I'll start work on a basic platformer in a couple of months which I'll publish somewhere for folks to play.

If United and Chip Shop Boy took Burnley apart like that there wouldnt be enough newsprint on Earth to write the game up. Positive moves by Benitez. If he can keep this squad fit...

Will happily hold my hands up and say that, so far at least, I've been made to look a complete mug here. I don't mind though, am happy for Rafa and Everton, last two goals were top drawer.

Benitez won the CL with Liverpool in 2005. The man could get blood out of a cheese. The only thing I'd say is that's 3 times in 4 games Burnley have dropped points from a winning position and I think it's 3 times from 4 Everton have had to come from a losing position to get something.

You might get away with that vs Southampton, Burnley etc. Not the bigger outfits.

That's true but remember in 2016 Leicester turned loads of games around in the first half of the season from losing positions and then in the second half kept tons of clean sheets in 1-0 wins. Obviously I'm not saying Everton are going to win the league or anything but just saying the leaky defence can be sorted out as the season progresses, especially with a manager as capable as Rafa.

He'll need funds and my suspicion is he's there because Ancellotti figured out that the new stadium will suck up the £££ and there's nothing left for players. So he jumped and they got Rafa in as the stopgap.

Many Everton fans were panicking and saying the same thing.

I was comfortable with Rafa even though he wasn't my first choice. And before the season I had this "all or nothing" feeling. I felt like we would either come out guns blazing and winning or be complete relegation fodder.

Not only are we winning, we are playing football that's 10x more exciting than under Carlo Arseholotti.
