Feebles cites that game between United and Newcastle as a game that altered foitball history.... Newcastle lost, fell away and were snacked upon by Mike Ashley.

If Rangers had won last night theyd have 25 million quid and huge clout. They'd probably be set for the next 10 years.

And they would have got Benitez as their manager who would have guided them to winning the Champions League, the World Cup and the Super Bowl.

No. :Jest: But they'd have a massive war chest, grossly inflated exposure on the biggest stage and would be attracting better players. In Scotland, if you fall behind, the turnaround time looks to be around 5-10 years in a bad case.

    Lewandowski likely headed to Barca.

Barca will be damn good next year if they have Lewa plus a healthy Pedri and Fati.

But obviously, Mbappe makes RMA the favorites to win LaLiga again (and probably the CL).

That's a great coup for Barca if it comes off. Lewandowski wasn't my cup of tea for a long time but there's no denying he's been absolutely sensational the last few seasons.

Agreed though, Mbappe and Benzema in his current form is a scary proposition.

I think Citeh will likely be the most dangerous. They've already added Haaland and it's doubtful their spending is over.

    I just meant in LaLiga.

But the fact that Citeh are a crop of chokers, I would still make RMA the favorites to win the CL next year.

You can never know a few weeks from now let alone a year. Too many variables. RM and their "Galacticos" have had superior looking squads (on paper) before and failed to win the CL. I certainly hope you're right about City choking it again.

Beat me to it. He’s just way too comfortable in France. Going to La Liga is another level.

Have to say i'm a little bit surprised. Generally when Real Madrid want a player they get them.

I read somewhere even the French Prime minister asked Mbappe to stay.

RM head office must be pretty pissed. No Mbappe, no Haaland and Lewy is looking to sign with Barca.

Yeah, Barca might very well win LaLiga now next year. As I said, especially if they can keep their two young stars, Fati and Pedri, healthy.

Yeah Barca seem to be building quite nicely and have some stability now (Europa League brainfart vs Frankfurt notwithstanding) after quite a prolonged period of ineptitude. It was always going to be tricky in the post-Messi era but they're on the right track again.

Never been a fan of Rio as a pundit but this is actually a really good XI. I respect that he didn't just chuck a load of his old team mates in there either, it's all on merit. Agreed too that Seedorf is one of the most underrated players of all time, fantastic footballer.
