92 points while going all the way on 3 other fronts. Its arguably the best season a teams ever had, tbh

Remember the Rodri handball incident against Everton? Mark Clattenberg said it was the most blatant handball he'd seen in his life that wasn't called. For the rest of the season, Everton fans feared it would cost us our place in the Premier League. In the end, we are safe.

However that incident did keep Liverpool from winning the title.

Unless you think Everton would have missed the obvious penalty, City get one point instead of three.

No I'm agreeing. It was THE moment. Not blowing a 2 nothing lead away to Chelsea.. OR a 2 nothing lead at home to Brighton. Or failing to beat Man City in two attempts. It was...... a handball decision

Just read that Moussa Dembele, who Lyon signed from Celtic, had the best goals per minute ratio in the French top flight (1 per 104 vs Mbappe's 1 per 108). Given we've got a 20% sell on clause I say Real should turn their attention to him. €€€€

Amazing isnt it, how somebody like Burnley can expect megabucks payouts everytime Danny Ings gets 5 goals or a transfer. Contract law innit. He went from Burnley to Liverpool to Southampton to Villa and i think Burnley made bank all the way.

Where will you spend any windfall? Midfield holder?

At Celtic? We'd probably just bank it. Replenish the pile of gold Peter Lawell takes his morning swim in, like Scrooge McDuck.

But we desperately need a pacey left back and a ball playing centre back. Personally i think we need a footballing goalkeeper too. And physicality/athleticism in midfield. The 4 priorities, in that order.

Real pay 80 million for Aurelien Tchouameni from Monaco. Anyone seen him play? Is he worth that much on a transfer or is this RM going into angry spending mode because they lost out on Mbappe?

Couldn't possibly comment as I'm footballing ignorant outside of Germany and England. But its worth bearing in mind that this fee IS LESS than what was spent by United on Harry Maguire or what Chelsea spent on Lukaku.

More likely to spite PSG, apparently he was one of Mbappe's transfer targets

The pettiness of continental football people never fails to astound. You should read Brian Glanvilles "Champions of Europe"....for all the flaws of the EPL, they look like kids compared to these Europeans....the notion of spending €80m just to piss somebody off is par for their course.

I think LFC is the better club.

I think it was a PR who correctly pointed out that Madrid spent the year dominating a mehh LaLiga.

I'm taking Liverpool. I want to say 3-1 but finals are usually tight cagey affairs so it could be a 1-0 game either way.

I think there's a really good chance we see a 2-2, and it coming down to pens, with each of the respective four stars (Benz, Vini, Mo, Mane) scoring the four goals.

It's always a possibility of course but i'm sure Liverpool will do their best to avoid a third consecutive shootout.

1-0 to RM, cagey game with shifts in momentum and RM stealing it with a goal around the hour mark and falling around and frustrating Liverpool until we all turn off the stream/TV before they lift the cup for the 100th time

Liverpool are clearly the better side, I don't think anybody would seriously suggest it is up for debate. It's just it is Real Madrid, in a one-off match, in the final of this competition. They also have a bit of a hoodoo over Liverpool in recent years, although it must be said those three matches had Ronaldo at the peak of his powers and this is a Liverpool side which now has the momentum and confidence which only comes from winning trophies (including this one). A very different proposition to the side of 2018.

If this plays out on current form alone then it is a clear Liverpool win, it's just we know that doesn't happen in matches like this. I still pick Liverpool but I think it is going to be a close-run thing.

    I'm hoping it's a goal-fest over 90-120 minutes and goes to pens.
