No real "group of death" just like 2018. Reasonably balanced but there are always upsets. Netherlands won the lottery getting Qatar. On paper they should finish first and possibly play the U.S. in the first knockout. Would seem a straightforward quarterfinal spot.

Not exactly thrilled with Germany drawing Spain. If they finish runner up their reward will almost surely be Brazil.

Canada would get knocked out if they got to select any three opponents from the entire field. Hopefully unlike 86 they can at least manage a goal.

 

If you're one of the teams in group A and lose to Qatar do you claim you were bribed and threw the match?
