One thing the queen did which i actually do have a lot of respect for - she kept her gub shut. That took discipline & restraint and it doesn't seem like any of her weans or grandweans have even that much in them. Also, if those pictures of her hauling herself off her literal death bed to smile with lizz truss are real then she was a legitimately tough old bird!

I was playing badminton with a bluenose last night and he brought up the same stat to back the same opinion. We saw it with Celtic in lennon's last season where players had just very visibly downed tools & werent covering yards. If you accept the proposition that she had a 'job' to do, and I will be the first to argue that what she did as a 'job' does not constitute 'work' in the sense that it applies to 99.99999% of the population of the planet, then you have to respect her for doing that job well, because she did. And she said she would keep doing that 'job' until she croaked, and she did. It is fair to respect these things, while being justifiably critical about what the 'job' entails and whether she, and her family, have any place whatsoever doing that type of 'job' in the world of 2022.

Some of the stuff I've seen about her being responsible for genocide etc is so far off the chart that it is genuinely difficult to understand how those saying this stuff are able to fire enough synapses up to get out of bed in the morning, let alone write things and say things out loud. I mean, I'm a hard left socialist. I'd disband the whole lot of it on my first day running the show. But that doesn't mean I automatically wish death on those lucky enough to be born into the privilege they were born into. I hate the system, not necessarily the people in it. Very much agreed. Black and Irish people chatting shit this morning need to have a long hard look at themselves and remember that if that woman and her ilk had never been born they'd STILL be bussing tables and shovelling shit.
