Felt i might have overdone the calories on Saturday so I've banged in one of tge above, average walking speed over 6kmph and i threw in a few sprints to keep it lively.

Feeling sore now from weights and situps as weight-day draws near.

I'm still trying to increase protein but today was 4 eggs, a couple hundred grammes of prawns, some cheese and a large bowl of greens.

If I've dropped more weight this Weigh-In I'll pause to re evaluate. I may need to start taking in 2000 calories in protein and deriving the calorific deficit from sprints and weights.

    But we shall see.

Cracking evening out there by the way.

I love how there is a guy called SANDS playing for Rangers. Must annoy them immensely.

Rangers commentators don't even know who did or didn't already get booked......

He was a beast for Arsenal. Had a good run internationally with Chile too. Then he forced his way to Manchester United for 600 thousand a week and fell off the face of the earth.

Im.not even criticising them, it works, but how come Rangers goals are always so...agricultural? They just seem to trundle them across the field like an old Soviet tractor.... deafening rattling, diesel fumes, job done, back home for borscht.

I always saw Sanchez as a good player who was a level below the elite. He was brilliant at Arsenal but I see it more as a big fish in a small pond situation. Not to disrespect Arsenal as a club overall but at that time their team was fairly average whilst he was a world class player.

He offered a different look at Barca but Pep wasn't keen, too reckless in possession, something they didn't mind about at Arsenal...in retrospect, he seemed to be slowing down towards the end of his time in North London. He does seem to exemplify utter brainlessness of Utd recruitment practices post van persie signing

One thing the USA is very good at. If there is a game on and someone, somewhere wants to watch it, it can be watched. Every NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL (not sure about MLS but probably) is shown live. It usually involves paying a little extra for it in your cable package.

Amazingly, no major broadcaster carried Rangers game last night. Only "RangersTV" or some gangster PPV outfit who wanted £8.99 for it.

Banged out another 8k walk tonight. 760 calories. Big weigh in tomorrow. I've worked out that a 980g tub of Maximuscle would last precisely 7 days or less if I banged 4 servings per day out for about 120g of protein. That's £35. Fudge that.

Bemusing results on the scales this morning.

I'm 0.2lb lighter than last week, have added about 9lbs of muscle, hydrated myself 3.2% better from 46.7% to 49.9% and seen my body fat as a percentage drop from 34.4% to 30.5%

In addition to all of this, my visceral fat has shrunk from 17.0 to 15.5, I've packed on 0.2lb of bone and my BMI is steady at 36.

    Conclusions:

    * the hydration is the key factor..it's skewing results. I've been dropping fat faster than I'd thought. The water loss was what had me losing so much last week and presented as a weight loss and a muscle loss.

    * I ate a load of green and 3 eggs yesterday at 6pm. Then I did my long walk/jog. Then I ate a few g of steak and had a decaff coffee and more water before bed. That's all still in there as it were and probably weighs about 1-2lbs.

*The scales are useful as a guide but no more than a guide. They can be easily thrown by changes in hydration levels.

So what to do now? I won't even enjoy a coffee.. I'll walk up to the shops, buy a few bits and see if I can visit the throne asap. Then I'll weigh in again and those will be the official recorded results.

Just pulled an Elvis and my weight is now 243.4lbs.

Body fat now registering at 29.8% but I'll ignore that and keep the higher figures...

I'll just have to settle for it. I've rehydrated, don't appear to be scalping muscle, and I'm a half pound *lighter"

Just got to accept the littlest of wins and keep on trucking

Now I'll have a bit of steak and a coffee.

Pizza just gonna have to wait this week alas.

How many of you bams can eat a £3 Iceland sirloin for brekkie?

    170g. 5 days past it's use-by.

Trim the fat, salt liberally. The fat will be "strong" if the steak is old.

Josip Juranovic rumours persist, Chelsea & Man Utd reportedly in now. To me, if one of those come in with a daft 'EPL' level bid soon enough to alow us to scout a replacement, Id take it. He's almost 27, we got him for 2m less than a year ago and he wouldn't rank higher than 6th or 7th among our best players, for my money. £25m? Deal. Ange will find 4 more guys that good for that

They were one of the more entertaining squads around at the time. Sanchez, Ozil, Giroud, and Jack Wheelchair all provided some nice play. When they were on they looked spectacular, but that wasn't very often.

Any time i sell something on a classifieds ad site i ask more than the price i hope to get. This is simply because there's an annoying contingent of people who will always offer less regardless of how good the deal is. If you post something that's worth 100 all day long and put the price as firm, it's like garlic to a vampire. They just can't stand that there is no room to move. Ask 150, and let them "negotiate" the price to 100.

Now these types feel like they're great businessmen or something as they used their skills to obtain a bargain.

I just bust my balls with the lady I live with for not having any negotiating knowledge. She's never needed money and acts accordingly. Won't get quotes, let's herself get railroaded, etc..she doesn't sniff the danger when builders who usually won't respond to anybody quickly are suddenly returning her calls.

Why? Cos they hear a little old lady on the phone and sniff the cash.

I had a guy pestering me on eBay over a bike frame I'd left open to offers..had to block him in the end which is something I'm totally anathema to.

I like barter, I like offers, I like the back and forth but tyre-kickers and chancers can fuck off.

Chelsea came in for Torres 10 years ago, offered £29m, paid £50....that's how it's done.

I just can't stand people who haggle for the sake of haggling. I swear you could list something without a price and some people without noticing will ask "would you take less?"

It reminds me of this panel cartoon i saw where it appeared to be after a yard sale. The stuff that didn't sell was sitting by the curb with a sign saying FREE . The husband says to the wife "it's a shame we didn't come by earlier as now we can't negotiate the price down any lower."

For those kinds of people i would sooner throw stuff in the garbage than give them the time of day.

Tried to lift some weights there. Upper body is tired but lower body was fucking shagged. I have this bar, 40kgs on it and one day I did 101 squats on it non stop.

    Could barely manage 5 today..

Legs worn out by the distances and the low carbs.

So I'll give it a rest tonight.

Had 2 steaks today and a stewed apple. Keeping it in deficit for the time being.

Never realised how debilitating running was to certain explosive strength-based motions.
