Appreciate it brother. It was an entertaining tournament. I picked France to win it. I really thought that they were going to come with something to prove after what happened in the World Cup final vs Argentina. They disappointed. Never picked it up, and Spain I figured were a little green and too young but they were up for it.

I saw it similarly. England and France as co-favorites with Germany and Span the next two.

    "The best team won".

Seems the pundits really want to get that across.

But they actually did. Better overall. Better on the night. I broke it down that Spain had spent 300 minutes leading football games against better teams than England had spent only 100 minutes beating.

It seems a daft statistic but a large part of why England got as far as they did was the timing of the few goals they scored.

It's also telling.....they had nothing to lose in the 95th minute Vs Slovakia. Nothing to lose in the 77th minute Vs Spain. Nothing to lose in the 82nd minute Vs Switzerland. And we're able to cut loose by way of necessity rather than design.

Same at 2-1 down tonight....suddenly 3,4 chances in a go.

England, by the way, did no worse with Spain than Germany or France did. Did better than Croatia, Italy, Georgia.

England probably were the 2nd best team in the tournament and suffered precisely 1 loss and that was in their final game.

There is no trophy for "best overall". If England won today they would be deserved winners.

Colombia look better so far. Messi has been largely missing in action and there’s no flow to Argentina’s attack.

Did you see Darwin Nunez in the stands throwing punches with Colombian fans the other day?

Was he protecting his family? Or did someone shout at him "you couldn't score in a brothel"?

LOL! I don't know. At the end of the match there were some scuffles on the pitch and then I'm not sure what happened but next thing you see is Uruguay players going into the stands to fight against Colombian fans.

If I had to guess I'd say they were probably throwing shit at them.

Another ugly scene happened today. A bunch of fans turned up at the final in Miami with no tickets. They were hopping gates and climbing over walls and getting in. (Great security.) At one point certain sections held up by security were so overcrowded that people were getting crushed. They had no choice but to let everyone in to avoid a tragedy.

I saw clips on YouTube of the fights in the stands. Looked ugly. Huge rivalry though so tempers flared. Not surprising it kicked off really. Hate to see innocent people get caught up in it all and especially children. Same thing happened at last Euros between England and Italy. Tons of fans with no tickets outnumbered security and got through and into the stadium. Fights kicked off. Scenes were terrible. There's a documentary on Netflix. Throughout the day tensions built up. Shed loads of people with no respect for other people's safety or property doing whatever it takes to see the game. Just buy a ticket you morons. Would probably cost less than the fine you'll receive by getting caught, or watch it at the pub.

Argentina wins the Copa America over Colombia in an extra time thriller. Abundantly clear that Argentina and Spain are the two best national teams on the planet at the moment. With France, England, and Germany just a step behind them.

Rangers in such a state its simultaneously hilarious and tragic. Ibrox shut until 'october' (probably longer) because they've botched some budget stadium expansion and disturbed asbestos. So they've had to go cap in hand to beg to use Hampden after spending two years picking fights with the SFA. Then their manager Baldomort (who posts instagram vids of himself doing assistance machine dips to look tough) has come out publicly and said he'd been lied to about what he'd have to spend. Basically they're skint and he hates his life. Which isn't even good for us because our bastard board will take it as their ticket to spend even less this summer, even though we've a bigger gold pile than fucking smaug

Spare a thought for the poor cunts who built Ibrox. Probably died coughing their guts up in some sanatarium.

And the asbestos isn't the only disturbed thing at Ibrox either.

Best thing about this weekend is feebles getting smashed drunk and coming in here to tell everyone what a great footballer he is and how he manages a team at a high level.

I do like Nunez as a player. I hope he can find that scoring touch constantly throughout next season. He could easily score 20+ goals, potentially 30, even. He's a grafter.

Sellik actually doing some smart business on the goaly front getting Kasper Schmeichel in as an insurance policy/quality floor and taking a punt on a highly rated 22 year old from Aston Villa whos been lacking game time. If the latter doesnt work out kasper will safely keep us ticking over for a season or so. Pretty certain both will be better than joe hart

Yeah....I saw that at a recent family event. Very unsettling atmosphere. Like dealing with wild rampaging animals. Totally insane behaviour. Then the following day they're all like ""what? Me? I never!!!"
