Played a padel tournament today in Bali. 4th place finish which I'm happy with. The heat was crazy, especially on match number 15

Did you travel out there especially for it or was it something you just tried while you were out there?.

At my brother's wedding I met an old pal who lives out in Barcelona and he says it's massive out there, clubs everywhere.

 

Haha na me and the missus doing a trip to Bali and then Japan. I saw they had a few clubs in Bali so thought I'd join one of the tournaments. Might possibly play one in Tokyo too, just depends how much time we have.

Yeah it's the second biggest sport in Spain behind football, I would love to play in Barcelona.

 

Its always meaningless but Celtic have looked real sharp in the US. Also cool seeing vids of tens of thousands of fans over there who somehow know the words to songs and care. Money clubs get more instagram clicks, advertising eyeballs but who... cares? Where's the love maaaan

Do you think Celtic should play Rangers in the U.S. to show the local people proper hooliganism?

 

Funnily enough they were meant to do that in Australia last summer. But when Rangers fans found out Celtic were gonna be paid twice as much for the game they kicked up so much that rfc cancelled involvement and consequently, instead of being paid £3m, they had to pay £1.7m compensation to the tournament organisers. That ~£5m probably would've covered some of the asbestos bill from their botched stafium renovation, its a wee shame

I just took a look at Everton's current roster. It just hit me. Mason Holgate & Neal Maupay are back from their loan spells and are still fucking here.

I thought Brentford would buy their old player back and I tried to forget about Holgate while he was gone.

 

Sellik still haven't signed any outfield players. Every year i think 'hey, we're close to stepping up here if the board show a modicum of ambition & push the boat out a little'. Fool me 20 times, shame on me. Instead Lawell will get a few 'projects' in on deadline week then parade our 9 figure bank balance on AGM day like its a european trophy

 

Whats the stadium situ? Is it goodison for one more season?

 

Yes. The new place is ready in December but the fans voted to play a full season at Goodison rather than change in the middle of the season.

 

Will ticket costs be the same at the new stadium?

 

Klopp took himself off the table the England job. Not sure if just doesn't want that particular job or if he just wants a longer break.

Sellik finally sign their first outfield player. A loanee from last season. We had a £6m buy out clause with Benfica which we've spent two months successfully haggling down to under £4m which gives you some indication both of what cheap bastards we are and of what a smash hit he was last season. Basically we've retained a rotation squad player from last year, when we were mostly pish. THE EXCITEMENT BUILDS

When Benedict Moyes went to Man U he came for Baines and Fellaini. We gave him Fellaini after upping the price. He wasn't taking Baines. We held on to Stones when Chelsea came for him only to sell him to Man City later. Same for Gordon when Chelsea wanted him. Then two knobhead Everton fans chased his car and opened his door after a match (Gordon had committed the dumbest foul ever on James W Prowse at the end of a game. Prowse hit the free kick in beating us in a game we badly needed.) That caused him to put in a transfer request and refused to train until he was sold (to Newcastle.)

I had seen a shorter video of two fans chasing his car and opening his door. There are a few fans surrounding his jeep when he stops. Yeah, this was pretty bad.

But this handful of "fans" cost us one of our best players.
