It's a weird title race this season I have to say. Liverpool are in it. Arsenal too. I thought Spurs were but they'll probably drop down the table like a stone now with the injuries and suspensions. Obviously you have to favour City, but it's pretty open at present.

 

I thought Liverpool would be intimidated by that dangerous bee in Brentford's logo but so far they're doing pretty good.

Man City have over 100 spending breaches and have been on the FFP radar for years. Chelsea are also being looked at. I don't have the numbers on them but it also involves spending.

Everton have one breach involving losing too much money and we have been fast tracked for a 10 point deduction.

Today the Premier League made it personal with Everton and the Everton fans.

 

From 14th to 19th. It doesn't sound like a huge drop but 10-15 were all within a couple of points.

 

Man City are suffering from affluenza. You can't punish them for their terrible disease. Everton on the other hand should know better as they're of sound mind. In fact they're lucky not to be cursed with such illness.

The offside rule has always been fucky. Somehow VAR has made it worse.

 

Previously the 'benefit of the doubt' guidelines usually applied but now goals really are getting chopped off because one guys fringe is longer than the other. Needs changed to favour the striker imo

 

The only upside is you can go thru all the dodgy decisions Rangers get at the end of each month & know you're seeing exactly what the orange lodge member who gave it saw

"Letter of the law" is ridiculous if a goal is called off because some guy's fingernail is offside or some nonsense but if it's called consistently, well at least it's ... consistent. The way it should be is upon review there should be little room for debate. 99% of officials should come to the same conclusion. The rule(s) itself might suck and can be called into question but they can be amended over time.

Any time things are open to interpretation somebody is getting fucked.
