The headroom is non-existant but they've no intention of spending owt. It's a medium term plan. This season had been a debacle, injury wise. We've had ten internationals injured since September. They've signed £150m in the summer and got nothing for it due to circumstances., so the cliché is 'X will be like a new signing' (Barnes, Tonali, Hall).

In the summer, they'll spend big. This was always going to be a dead nowt.

I really rate Trippier, always have, but he's been in absolutely woeful form of late. It does seem age has finally caught up with him, which is understandable as the modern full back position is one of the most testing positions in all of team sports. I don't really get Bayern's interest tbh.

Rumours around town are that Trippier has been banging slaggies in local hotels and his missus has got wind of it, which is why he's played like a bag of shite for about six weeks.

Xavi stepping down at the end of the season due to the team underperforming. This is what’s annoying about Barca. The problem is not the manager. It’s the players that just aren’t good enough. Bringing in another manager imo will not change that. Nor will it bring another golden generation of players.

    Liverpool are annoying.

Maidstone's reward for giant killing is a trip to .....Sheffield or Coventry lol

If Liverpool stop dithering and see this out, they're at home Vs Watford or Southampton. If not it's Norwich Vs Watford/Soton

    Luton Vs Man City

    Wolves Vs Brighton

    Villa/Chelsea Vs Plymouth/Leeds

What us on Ian Wright's head?

Southampton equaliser. I'd prefer to play Watford, honestly. Southampton have traditionally been awkward.

The footage I've seen isn't exactly great, but I see worse outside my local every weekend. It was hardly 1984 revisited, was it?

Of course not. But the Chattering Classes need a focal point where they can be our betters, and they don't like missing chances.

"Exclusive"......and there's bams who slurp it up too.

There's no more Elmer-Gantry activity than "In the Know" football punditry.

"Maradona to Carlisle, sources say, jet on standby".....and guys would be on their way to Brunton Park. Any hint of a jet in the air and they'd cream their drawers.

I think that's Villas title charge done for now. If Spurs win tomorrow, Villa are out of the top 4. Fine fine margins in this racket.

Newcastle for their part are probably still looking at top 4 and are still in the Cup.

If we stay up, it'll be by the skin of our teeth. Major problems defending set-pieces still. I actually think we will go down, sadly.
