Can't see who beats them now in that competition. They're relentless. Bowen had a great chance in the first half to level it on aggregate. If he'd scored they might have done it, but I still think Leverkusen would have found a way to go through, They're absurdly good at getting late goals.

Can't commend the quality on show but yesterday's game was certainly exciting. I think its the first time id seen a penalty shootout live since spartak moscow in 2007

    That's that then.

    Couple of points regards Klopp:-

It was the two Old Trafford games that seemed to take away whatever was left in the tanks...contrary to what the pundits were saying a few weeks ago, new guy will actually have a bit to do, a few to move on this Summer

Now we know why Klopp's resigning. Wants to get out of the way.

Or maybe ... he was running it? :O

Meethefeebles wanted to have a go at Everton when we were down.

We beat his boys 3-0 the next time around.

Irish decided to have a go at Everton while we were struggling.

We beat his boys 2-0 and ended their fake title hopes (they weren't winning shit anyway.)

Now, who else wants to talk about Everton?? Come and get it!

    City are so fucking annoying.

They're like a competitive dad giving their kid a head start in a race to make it a bit interesting before racing past them at full speed as they near the finish line.

A throwback question for the football vets, and as an LFC supporter I'm curious: Michael Owen in his prime. How does he compare to the young stars of today?

Owen was all blistering pace and dead eye goalscorer instinct, but the latter relied a lot on the former...once he had the hamstring injury in the late nineties, really his peak was barely three years, he lost a little on his fastball and was never the same...hard to compare him with more technical young stars of today, can't actually think of any obvious comparisons, Salah?

He's not good enough to feature in my Liverpool all time xi, which you didn't ask for but heres mine anyway: Alisson, Neal, Hansen, Van Dijk, Kennedy, Souness, Gerrard, Barnes, Dalglish, Rush, Keegan

Yeah I said it here before but when you look at those English league games from the late seventies and watch the great Liverpool players, you have to make allowances now in many cases for the pitches being better now, players better conditioned etc. but he's one of the few to me who has the fitness and technical ability to step into the modern game easily....plus he's one of the select few like Charles who left the English game and went on to be great on the continent

Liam Brady is another guy from roughly that era who looks to me like he'd still be class today.

He's arguably our (Irish) greatest footballer, alongside Keane and Giles, but he was smooth and technical, a poor man's platini, which is not what our players were/are known for...it's like being a Cuban brawler, just doesn't fit the national stereotype

Cheers! Was a great performance and result, didn't see that coming at all. We've not done too well against Leeds over the years and considering both clubs league positions this season I was praying we'd snatch a scrappy 1-0 or a draw. Never expected to wallop them 4-0.

If we start next season the way we've finished this one, we might actually be able to do something.

Sheffield gone. Burnley still fighting. Salah arguing on the sidelines.
