I think its OK to have two positions simultaneously on Rashford - (a) that he was instrumental in the provision of free meals to vulnerable kids during Covid, and that he has genuinely been impactful in terms of adding his name and being involved in producing books for kids aimed at improving confidence, personal development etc. - its easy to sneer but I have done volunteering stints where I have seen these real impact of such interventions; (c) that he's a self-indulgent and disruptive twat who worked hard until the moment his contract extension was signed and has fallen out with every one of the Man Utd manager since Moyes

I agree there should be a cut-off point between the two versions but I can't help feeling his charity work was something of an extension of his Messiah complex and that his appointment by the press as a Tory bulwark contributed directly to his current predicament.

No lesser lights than Keane and Scholes-Scholes is not known for commenting like this- have said they want the guy exiles, banned, slung out.

That doesn't normally happen if you're just a nice guy who's gone a bit strange.

Keane is hopelessly over-exposed - if you were being paid to spew thoughts on multiple podcasts and broadcasts daily, your content would become increasingly off the cuff and kneejerk. Scholes is a dullard who skews towards negativity generally. You might be right about Rashford re self-importance, what he does next will be telling.

Ha you're not wrong. Keane is for sale and also has a hugely selective memory .. I do not know if Scholes is a complete dullard but he tends towards a phlegmatic negativity bordering on the neurotic.

Scholes is the kid from the Hovis af who just can't quite figure out why everyone can't be happy pushing an ancient bike to the top of a hill to deliver that final loaf of bread for 2'6d a week .

I think Rashford will skip Dodge and go to Serie A where he'll be reinvented by the British press as a super-talent who was just too colourful and dynamic for staid Blighty.

I agree that Rashford will go overseas but I don't see it being a consistent success, maybe a eye-catching start where he scores three goals in four games and then tails off, followed by stories in the English press about him looking for opportunities back home....the reinvention comes later, after he retires, where he ill be portrayed as a mercurial talent who was never quite used correctly at either club nor national level

I see a documentary featuring him, Omar Edwards, Tammy Abraham etc with Mason Greenwood hovering embarrassingly in the background threatening to ruin everything.

Rashford was a legit talent in my opinion, maybe if he'd come up under Ferguson a few years earlier it might have been different, but he just stagnated.

I think he gave up. He forgot what it took to stay at the top. But every year that United didn't win the title was a year he got closer to some sort of denouement.

    No!

That's a wee bit weird tho b/c last night i was watching this thing about all the traditional tactics intuits used to coexist with polar bears. And half their life revolved around the threat of them: when and where they hunted & camped, how they prepared and stored food, the design of their igloos and weapons, the games children played. Its the first vid I'd added it to my favourites in ages, very cool.

It must've been all of us at one time whether it was short faced bears, cave hyenas, lions, megalania so watching all the clever steps they have to take to work around it is like a cool glimpse into the past.

Meh. Current team doesn't really seem to have an identity.

Not only have City not done Liverpool a favour, they've given Arsenal a shot in the arm.

I like what Dyche did for the club. Keeping us up amid point deductions and when money was thin. For that, he'll ne looked at favorably in Everton history.

But this season, he had three wins in 19 matches. We scored only 15 goals in 19 matches.

Moyes has three wins in four matches with eight goals scored.
