I can't stand it when, for example, a linesman doesn't raise his flag for offside until a player has made a run and scored. Why not just raise your flag at the moment you know he's offside.

I think it's in case the linesman made a mistake, in which case a perfectly good goalscoring opportunity has been taken away because of human error. I get what you're saying when it's really blatantly obvious, but I don't mind it generally.

RIP Keegan. He was a great forward and his style of coaching was always attacking and direct.

If it was stage 4 lung, colon, or pancreatic cancer, you generally dont last too long. I'd wager it was one of those 3.

Hull KR currently sitting in 7th and Hull FC 13th. KR have their work cut out to defend their title.

@Xplosive do you play the official Premier League fantasy game? I know a lot of people who take interest at the start of a season and then that quickly fades. If you're up for playing and putting a team together, I'll send you a link. That goes for anyone else who is interested. Also, there's a Super 6 game where you predict the score of six games each week (midweek games are also included, like Champions League). We could do a Fightbeat league.

No thanks, brother. I've never played fantasy league in any sport -- not NFL, NBA, etc. Never had an interest. Appreciate the offer though, @Jimmy!

A lot of hype surrounding Chelsea. But you don't suddenly go from finishing 10th to winning the title a season after...

...oh wait, Chelsea in fact did achieve this in 2016-17...

Ugh, anybody but Italy. I guess it's one of those styles make fights things but somehow it's gone on for generations.

The world cup doesn't exactly support the celebrity manager bolt on model. Never write off either pep or klopp, but they're both associated with very particular approaches and hard to see that imposed on a national team. It happened for Jack Charlton and Ireland but we didn't have any history of success or traditional style of play.

Agreed. I assume it's primarily down to the amount of time a national team manager has with a side. I suspect it will be easier for Pep than Klopp out of the gate but we will see.

Like Jimmeh is alluding to i think if/when Germany play Italy more will be made out of Klopp vs Guardiola than other individuals as neither side has a super star.
