Was Liverpools 90+5 penalty winner as dodgy as Celtic's?

Burnley lost back to back matches in extra time. To the two most successful clubs in England. Tough luck.

It's even worse luck that Campbell claims to be a fan of theirs

I wonder how many years it's going to take before the sense of entitlement disappears. The fans acknowledge how shit they are but still act surprised and outraged when they get done in by one of the best sides in the world for some reason.

I actually kinda see where theyre coming from tbh. We've gotten the 'entitlement' accusation plenty recently but I think it's only fair to judge your own club's performance vs other club's with similar resources & feel like if you're nowhere near them something's far wrong inside your club. Which it certainly is inside Man Utd!

I understand the frustration given the resources vs the outcomes, but there is a difference between Celtic losing regularly to mid-table or even second tiered clubs and getting done in 3-0 by a Real Madrid.

Man Utd regularly getting outplaced in the prem by Brighton, Bournemouth & Celtic in uefa coefficient ratings by Bodo Glint, USG, AZ alkmaar feels like a roughly equivalent level of underperformance/rolling embarrassment. This is a bit like the bit in jaws boasting about who's scar is bigger:Jest: when Celtic lose the league to hearts in the next couple years that'll be our indeanapolis story

You've got to factor in that they're surrounded by media guys who are also United fans.

I was watching Celtic in the state bar which you may remember- when we got that decision even all the celtic fans audibly groaned. Poor way to win. The highlight was the owner Nancy telling 3 English lads insisting she turn one of the screens to Manchester: 'you're in Glasgow and Celtic are playing, you're third down the priority list at best, sorry.' Superb establishment, that.

That's harsh on Newcastle but they know Rashford and didn't act accordingly. Schär was probably concussed at the time of the first goal. Unfortunate.

Both of Rashford's goals were excellent, he will go back to doing fuck all now for the foreseeable future. One of the most frustrating players out there.

Agreed that Newcastle blew it a bit, Elanga put two on a plate that weren't taken by Gordon and Barnes. Different game entirely if one of those goes in, with that momentum.

Major wankfest at the BBC over Rashford this morning. They're desperate to rehabilitate the guy.

Isak in that game last night makes a difference. Strong "England Manager" vibes from Howe leaving Woltemade out of the side for so long when a big target man would have profited from those chances.

Celtic's accounts were just announced & the taxes paid on the clubs profits just exceeded our all time record signing fee. Surely a first in football history

7 minutes added at Old Trafford where two of the worst expensively-assembled sides ever are sliding around in the rain.

Just the bare fact, I fancy. Liverpool would have to turn a profit of £550m next year.

I agree with the BBC consensus this time- Guardiola parked the bus. Nearly worked.

Liverpool in a good place .

    5 played, 5 clear. Can't argue.
