I've decided to boycott football after Antony was robbed of the Ballon d'Or.

An ok point for Celtic in the circumstances. We may have lucked out with this Iheanacho guy who I'd written off as a fat waster based on footage from last season but looks like he's lost 2 stone since

Christ on his cross! I'm catching up on a lot of shit so forgive me for just now finding this out. I didn't know Rangers were near bottom of the Scottish Prem table. Holy fuck.

Mental how bad they are. Annoyingly I think they could still get enough together to finish second, I've learnt my lesson after getting behind Aberdeen last season. Hearts do seem like a more ambitious and serious outfit though, has to be said.

I think Bloom has to win out inside the club first vs the old boy dinosaurs who appointed McInnis and McInnis himself before they'll challenge. They'll fall away this year (unfortunately)

Another episode coming soon. It's replaced Arsenal Fan TV (their golden years were right after Wenger left) as my weekly comedy gold.

Forest beaten. Spurs drawing. Chelsea beaten. Softens the blow. A bit. Both Arsenal and Newcastle can't win tomorrow. Draw would be nice.

Liverpool too easily spooked by athletic fast sides who know how to attack the wings.

Dewsbury-Hall has been decent this season but he's got to pull the trigger. Last week Grealish set one up for him on a plate and he went wide. We lost 2-1.

Wide again here. Hopefully this one doesn't cost us. He hasn't played poorly but Grealish is brilliant down the left side, Ndiaye has been brilliant down the right. His play down the middle isn't matching theirs.

If you want annoying, look at Wirtz.

I'd imagine the British media is probably ripping Florian Wirtz for his play thus far this season. I think he'll find his stride eventually, he's too good not to.

He was truly one of the best players in the world the year Leverkusen won the league.

Brazil had fouled Columbia off the field that night. Then in a final passage, somebody put the boot into Neymar.

He was ruled out for the Germany game and with him disappeared the very final pretense of "football" that side had.

They were Ritchie Melito to Germany's Bert Cooper that night.

    Found out.

His style of play might be better suited for LaLiga or Serie A. I mean, fucking Pulisic is a star in Serie A, and Wirtz is 10x better than Pulisic.

I'm giving him more time though.

Celtic vs Braga tonight who are neck and neck with us in ELO & coefficient ratings and I actually think are slight favourites tonight. They're maybe the single best team in europe to illustrate why sellik fans are so incredibly hacked off rn because Braga are basically Portugal's Hearts with an average attendance 15k, perennial 'best of the rest' status. How tf are they favourites tonight?

Celtic's financial footprint compared to the 4 Portuguese teams in Europe
    Screenshot_20251002_090524_YouTube.jpg

But, they key point imo: that includes profits from player trading. Benfica & Porto aren't even on this player trading graph they're so far ahead. Thats the only reason they match Celtic's turnover. Braga translate an identical transfer spend to us (with a fraction our starting resources) into 5 times the profit - equivalent to £30m extra turnover per year vs us.

    Screenshot_20251002_090617_YouTube.jpg

So that's £30m per year to play with in further transfers & wages. But, as crucially, it's symptomatic of them finding (or producing) much, much better players per quid spent.

That's just pure football operations competence. If we were half as competent as Braga at running an actual football club they'd be nowhere near us. We'd be a top 15-20 Uefa coefficient team, every year. We're shitting the bed so hard and the board genuinely think it's silk on our skin. SACK THEM

The club will have to be bought out by fans. Dint they get this? There's 100,000 fans that can put up £100 handy. Club bought. Combine it with a general strike and watch that price tumble.

Counting rangers that's effectively 10 halves of football against teams currently in European competition & we've failed to score in 9 of them. Another 0-0 vs Hibs who are the nearest thing to it besides. A man with no teeth ferociously gumming a steak.

His celebration told you he knew he did not handle it.

Any reason why the crowd seemed so far back from the pitch?

Celtic & Rangers are playing at a level where they would struggle to win a 2-leg tie with NY Red Bulls.
