Well I want to watch both, but given the choice it has to be boxing.

A cheesy fucking UFC show with faggoty commentators, and a good chance that the fighters end up rolling around on the ground "jockeying for position" for 15 minutes over boxing? No thanks.

But if I can, I'll watch both.

Are the main events going to coincide? Or do you think Pierre - Serra is going to be on first?

I like MMA and I'm beginning to be a fan, but the most exciting part is the stand up. In boxing they stand up for 36 minutes or less. If they hit the ground, we get our money's worth. I can't say the same for UFC.

In a boxing sense, I think Hopkins-Calzaghe could well be the biggest fight this year.

There's no sporting event this weekend that I'd rather watch than this fight.

REED Gets what U're Saying, but Calzaghe-Hopkins has a VERY HIGH "Stink" Probability to it...

GSP-Serra will B Anything BUT Boring, so REED'll Watch it Live @ a Sports Bar & Tivo Calzaghe-Hopkins...

Now if LAST Weeks HBO Card Bumped Heads w/GSP-Serra, REED would've Stayed Home & Watched it Instead...

I don't think it will be that bad, because I expect Calzaghe to be at a higher level than Tarver or Wright. Tarver just looked pathetic in that fight, and Wright was obviously carrying too much weight...even at the lowered limit.

Calzaghe should be much more comfortable at this weight limit, and his style is predicated on activity.

I thought Calzaghe-Kessler was one of the best fights of last year, and one of the most re-watchable fights of the year.

This weekend's fight may not be on that level, but if it even approaches, then it should be very entertaining.

Plus, I just have to appreciate it when there's that much skill and ring intelligence in the ring...even if it's not Vazquez-Marquez IV.

I'll watch Hopkins-Calzaghe and download St-Pierre-Serra. If I really had to choose, I'd rather watch Hopkins-Calzaghe.

This is true. If Hops-Calzaghe stinks which is possible i will turn right over to the UFC considering they will be on at the same time. Hopefully Calzaghe will be able to hit Hops and get off a high number of punches to make it entertaining.

Just shows how boring Hopkins is that people who are hardcore boxing fans are considering watching UFC over boxing.

After Hopkins' performance against Wright, you can't blame boxing fans for not caring about this fight, no matter how significant the fight itself is.

Ill give the fight a shot for at least a couple of rounds. If it's the same old Bernard which is what i expect i will change the channel for the UFC card.

I'll be watching both at the same sports bar... it's this great place I discovered a couple years back that shows ALL the HBO and Showtime, all boxing PPV, and all UFC. For $20 cover this week I can watch both.

Although I think GSP/Serra will probably be more exciting, I would pick the boxing if I could only watch one. I like GSP, but I'll probably be talking about the Bernard Hopkins/Joe Calzaghe fight that happened in 2008 for the rest of my life.

    not sure..

prolly sopcast and record the MMa and watch the HBO

I could reconrd the HBO and watch the MMA live but I'm too excited to see the boxing and dont care near as much about GSP and Serra.. I mean, I expect a good fight and GSP to dominate and win but it's not exciting for me like boxing.. if I missed it I wouldnt really care that much but the hopkins fight.. I will be shaking with nervous energy before that fight.. just at the edge of my seat.. .I get really hyped for these.. I don't want to talk to anyone about anything.. I will ignore the phone and be just totally into the fight
I will record it and seriously.. if Bernard wins especially I will watch it probably 10 times within a week. I'll watch it again if Joe C wins too but I hope Joe just gets Slaughtered. I want to see him get WHUPPED!!

He is gonna get dropped 6 times! WATCH!

You know the huge difference between these 2 events? The boxing event has troubling selling tickets even now while the UFC sold out in Montreal in less than 3 minutes. The atmosphere for the GSP/Serra fight is gonna be pretty crazy. I'd like to hear some french cursing directed at Serra.

    Quite a lot actually.

The living costs to wages are very, very disproportionate compared to the US and most other countries.

The average 1 bedroom appartment to rent in my town - Brighton - is 700 or 750 quid.

    That's $1400 or $1500 US dollars.

Yet the average wage is not much more than that

So in England, the majority of people quite simply have less expendable income than Americans.

I love England, but the biggest problem with it is the economy.

What would be your guess as to the economic breakdown of those who travel to the States for fights?
