How stupid are you? I've never said anything remotely like that.

It is a strike against Tyson, at that point in his career, that he managed to lose to the likes of Douglas, no matter how much Tyson may have slacked off in training. But it was obvious that he wasn't in his best condition and wasn't expecting much of a fight from Douglas.

But by all means keep talking out of your ass...it can't make you appear any more ridiculous than you already are.

You can't resist responding with venom can you? :giggle:

Anyway...glad to hear that you admit that Tyson was off that night.

Shut it, Stafford. There's no "admitting" involved, so stop being a jackass. I tell it like it is, unlike you. You may want to work on that...it may help you look less like a groupie.

That's a great example, Morales rehabilitates his career with the biggest win of his life against Pacquiao and then proceeds to lose to Raheem in his very next fight.

I'd regard that as his most impressive performance, in many ways.

I don't think he really performed poorly, per se, either. Castillo took it to him & Mayweather was more than a little flustered, that's for sure --- but he made some handy adjustments, got on with it, & (in my view) made it close enough that the term, "Robbery" is very heavily over-used to describe this fight.

I scored it twice, & had Mayweather coming up short both times, but I didn't see it wide enough to be called an outright robbery. Suspect? I can live with that, but it seems to me people will reach at things when they hate a fighter, especially one with so few ostensible flaws, either in terms of their fighting, or their career (though we don't have to dig too deep to criticise Mayweather's decisions in recent years, I still say he has a tremendous ledger of opposition, taking his full career into account).

I do have to question him from around 06-onward, though. He has dropped more than a little, in my eyes.

Why? Because he lost? Made excuses. And then claimed to totally outbox Castillo - a claim that only PBF and his biggest dick-suckers (Neil) would ever make?

no, you dumbass, because he was tested and put under enormous pressure and fought back very well, well enough to make the fight close and debateable among reasonable people

I think he won it decisively through the final third. I'd go as far as to say a person would have to set out to score against him to give that to Castillo.....(which i effectively did myself when previously watching it).

JLC was really beating him up through those middle rounds it's true. The aspect that's overlooked is just how enormously impressive the way Floyd adjusted under that kind of pressure was. A Shane Mosley or a Winky Wright or even an Oscar De la Hoya lose a fight like that. Hell B-Hop lost a less taxing fight like that to Taylor. It takes a genuinely exceptional fighter to show that kind of composure and self belief after getting roughed up and beaten for 3, 4 rounds straight.

Judah was just on the cusp of stardom after knocking out Spinks for the undisputed WW belt, then fought like ass against Bumdomir, which has a cascading effect of shittiness for the entire division.

It's not contrarian to point out that some people have misinterpreted the point of the OP. But if you can't follow that, it makes sense that you feel it is.

Nice try, but a swing and a miss. As usual, you say something opposite because, apparently, you think it makes you seem oh so very clever to do so.

It's the same old, same old from you. And it's boring.

He was injured in that fight...no excuse. It was apparent that he was trying to protect his left arm...with all teh southpaw switching he was doing. Mayweather never switches to southpaw unless he's trying to protect his left.

Besides..Floyd won that fight clearly. Lederman scored rounds 8 and 10 for Castillo...and they were clearly floyd rounds. Also Floyd won the first four or five rounds of that fight.

Shut it, douchebag. Please tell us more about Gimmicky or hippety hop fighters. Or maybe you can reimagine boxing history so it works better for you. Or maybe you can just type whatever inane thought is in that tiny, tiny brain of yours at any given moment.
