A card with both Tarver and Winky on it. Boxing fans are truely blessed.

Winky isn't boring and that was the best fight by a lot.

If Taver isn't shot, we are looking at a huge kayo to Coyote. Tarver has to see it. Coyote slaps an then staggers. He should take a half step at an angle and throw an uppercut at full power. He won'tknow he lost for 15 minutes.

I hate just about every southpaw other than Pac.

Didn't see the Winky fight tonight but have been half assed watching Tarver and guy in green trunks. Guy in green trunks is brining energy and little else. Very sloppy. Tarver's technique is 5X better. 4-5 years ago when he was sharper he would have landed a counter that would ended this already. It's still not out of the question happening tonight.

Winky is an offensive fighter that is why I don't get it. Hisstyle is awesome,I think. I guess, I understand that there is no chance for a kayo. There is always lots of action.

He's only offensive in that he walks forward. 75% of the time he has the ear muffs on. I'm not saying he's Corey Stinks, but watching him is like guy fighting under the modern olympic rules. Punch stats favor him, but every punch has the same force. (next to none)

The fight between a barely was and a never will be ends in a draw.

    Fans everywhere demand a rematch.

lol. I caught that too. I heard 114-114 and thought what. He was probably half asleep in his defense. You have a fat milkdud walking around like a zombie and a crazed African slapping and doing a peculiar African Dance.

A lot of those African fighters are bat shit crazy. I understood half of it.I remember Ike Quartey crying about the Vargas fight. He went on a strange rant about how he was robbed.

Coyote sucks, but obviously he's strong to have kept Tarver as reluctant as he was.

Absolutely, I have always found Winky fucking boring.

I'm amazed Ike likes him actually.

I disagree with what you guys are saying. Much like Calzaghe, he punches harder than he looks. He hit hard enough to keep people honest. Don't get me wrong, he can't punch for shit. I just don't agree he is just scoring points. It is in between. Also, Winky could have stopped Tito, but you could see even in the rare event he was in a position to stop someone, he didn't try. I know I am in the minority, but I liked Winky's style.

He was just so, dunno, mechanical. There was guaranteed to be no drama in a Winky fight, and it was guaranteed he'd do exactly the same thing for all 12 rounds.

He had a very basic and monotonous style.

Stinky Winky's fights made even the most boring Lennox Lewis fights seem like Hagler/Hearns in comparison.

Winky Wright threw jabs and then crosses that had the same effect as jabs. When he wasn't doing that, he had the earmuffs on. He was as boring as you can possibly be throwing 80 punches per round. He's one of my most hated fighters.

They should take the padding out of the back of gloves to put an end to that modern window shutters hoseshit. Padding on the knuckles for PUNCHING.

The fights basically sucked. That being said, the highlight of the night was listening to Kayode, post-fight, complaining about the decision in some slurred Swahili-Nigerian hybrid language/accent.

For me, I hate running and holding. If I like running, I' watch track. If I liked holding(and was homosexual, obviously) I'd watch mma. I am not trying to say you guys are wrong either. I am not trolling though ala MikE.

To me Wald Pussy, SERGIO Pussy, Pernell Whitaker, Lennox Lewis, Duran were all harder for me to watch. Shane Mosely too. Obviously, at 135 he was a huge puncher, yet to me his fights were boring because he would swarm and hold. No rhythm to it. I guess Winky's fights were too much rhythm:lol::lol:

Just finished slogging through the card.

Appreciate so many fights on one card. Wish it wasn't so damn awful.

I'm with Ike. Always liked Winky. He always stayed in the pocket and got hit plenty, Ear muffs or not. Chin of steel.

He's a shell of a shell right now.

Depressing night. Old guys getting pushed out by younger guys who don't impress me at all.

Isn't that the same thing when the so called "midgets" fight? If you can't stand them because they can't hurt anyone why is it okay when Winky does it?

Personally I never disliked Winky but he definitely wasn't the kind of guy who got me excited when he had a fight coming up. I'd watch for the result, but never expected much.

It took me a few days to finish this card. It was dreadful. Love the concept of a ton of fights on a card, but they need better matchmaking.

Guys are writing about Winky as though this is the first time they've seen him fight. Who didn't see this coming?
