    It's postwar slang of uncertain origin. To "bonk" someone means to punch him or fuck him. "Bonkers" is naval slang for slightly drunk.

    Bonkers is a town in Belgium where particularly heavy fighting took place. Due to the total confusion of the battle, soldiers started to say something is bonkers when it is crazy or out of control.
