LOk, I did 250 pushups after I hit the heavy bag, a 210 pound bag for 1:35 minutes. I think I can do 500 and the weekend days. Hopefully, this weekend.

I normally run 5k a day for every day of the week. This week I am bumping that up to 6k a day. I also did 55chins, 80 HSPU, and 80 hanging knee kicks each day last week.

I'm gonna alternate windsprints and middle distance running on different days because I have to get my wind for floor hockey. That, plus the bodyweight training, will get my weight down rather quickly. :crafty:

    yes everyday..

I guess why I dont see it as "obsessed" is being Obsessed implys that it is on your mind all the time..

I just DO it... it's part of my day.. I don't sit around planning it much or coming up with Splits..

now.. some of the guys that I knew in the gym.. THAT IMO is obessed..

setting an alarm to wake up at 2:30am and eat a can of tuna... spending HOURS on end in the gym doing fancy split routines.. etc

Very good!:bears: All that training must come in handy as you sit in the office typing on your computer for 1/3 of the day, working a boring as f*ck job.

If you wanna see real fitness, go to an MMA gym and try wrestling with some of the top guys there. That sh*t requires a hell of a lot more cardio than just running and doing pushups and hitting pads. Even marathon runners can't last sh*t there.
It's even more amazing that mma guys(some of them) can fight for up to 5 minutes of 5 rounds. Then there are guys who can't like Travis Lutter and more often than not, BJ Penn.

Hanzy.. you know I have done that..

in fact MMA and boxing is what got me more into bodyweight stuff and away from just heavy weights

Actually it does come in quite handy. Sometimes this job can be killer boring, but I know that I'm going to the gym at lunch or doing a run right after I get home. That definitely gets me through a boring day.

Today, however, isn't boring. I have a fair amount of work to get done and a meeting with my group. Right after, I'm going to the gym, so the workouts actually do take the boredom and irritation out of the job.

Plus, I know my health is going up. That also alleviates stress, work-related and otherwise.

Hanzy.. the fact that so many people ARE sitting for 1/3rd of the day is the reason training is more important..

i think you have it backwards Tyler

LOK's way of training is less obsessive than a proper work out split.......it involves none of the below:
    travelling to the gym
    gym membership
    protein shakes
watching protein and calorie intake and all that shit
doing long intense workouts that deplete your body and drain your nervous system and leave you weak for at least the next day

    :dunno:

I work out at home, the only time I have a gym membership is when I box. So your point is moot especially when you take in this....

I set aside a set time to do my exercise.....twice a week for each muscle group, LOK does it ALL DAY LONG EVERY DAY. By definition that is obsessive, you are in error.

.....and the only reason I count calories or have a set intake is to be at Cruiserweight because I am naturally a heavyweight. I used to be pretty big when I exercised and not give a fuck about calories :dunno:

Anyone who spends HOURS on end in the gym doing split routines is a body builder. My split lasts about 45 minutes....

I have never woke up at anytime to eat something unless I couldn't sleep :nono:

You can do this at work and no one would ever know! They may think you have to go to potty, but just do it when they leave....

    yeah..

well.. I do like the gym when I go to lift some heavweights..

but you know.. even when I was in there.. I wore jeans to lift weights.. people would think that was funny.. but I just never got into shaving my body and wearing gay bright colored tight pants.. and tanning every day..

some of these guys will do a set, then pose in the mirror for 10 mins.. put oil on and pose..

I didn't know TD did this stuff.. that's why I'm suprised he assumed it had anything to do with him.. I'm talking about guys i'd see in the gym

Although I also love to lift the heavyweights, I don't want to be one.

I'm doing a lot of running and I'm watching my food intake. I'll likely be 175 by Christmas, and from now on I'll go between 175 and 180, no higher.

Maybe I'll go between 170-175. I definitely feel lighter and more energetic. :dunno:

I like those skinny little sh*ts who come to the gym for the first time. They tell the personal trainer "Ok, I don't wanna get too big......" :atu:

I always loved that too Hanzy..

when I was a trainer.. I'd have ladies come in and I'd give them a few training sessions free when they'd first join..

a lot would say "I just want to tone up.. I dont want to get too big and look manly"

    I'd laugh..

I mean.. i would tell some of them.. that even if they WANTED to get SUPER BIG.. it takes seroius work!! you dont acidentlly become a big ass bodybuilder.. that really is insulting to people that are trying to become big:lol:

I bet you wanted to beat the crap out of some of them eh? Those ignorant douches!
I kinda understand the women though. They don't want to start getting man hands from lifting too much weight. Didn't Kathy Ireland, despite being fit, have thickish man hands from too much dumbell work?

it is just funny cuz I had friends there who were bodybuilders and worked their ASS off in the gym and with eating.. and these skinny girls would come in and say "i dont wanna get too big"

I mean.. I'd say a lot of people that WANTED to.. couldn't even do it!"

Agreed. It's amazing how big an ego regular people have. People have accomplished nothing in life and yet talk like they're the sh*t.

in these cases.. I don't think it's ego so much.. they just have no idea.

these ladies see big bodybuilders and think that lifting weights = looking like a man

they do not realize how long it takes and how much work it takes both lifting and eating
