Actually they just think guys get big through HGH and steroids. Not giving any respect to guys who work their butts off in the gym. Notice anytime there's a big muscular dude, somebody will call him a roid head or juicer? Plain ignorance.

we had a lot of people in the gym that were kinda soft and not very muscular.. and they thought that anyone who was lifting more than them or was really lean.. was juicing..

forget the fact that some of these dudes would be in there at 5am for a hour of cardio, and again at 7pm for another hour.. they'd eat chicken breasts and brown rice for weeks on end and lift hard as hell!!

275 today after hitting a 210 pound bag for 1 hour and 35. When do I get my steroids? Actually, I think if I set aside an hour or and hour and a half I could do 500. I will try to 500 on sunday.

Today was an active rest day. Tomorrow I'm going hiking for 5 hours. I look to weigh around 195 on Sunday evening. :partie:

Why do you need to weigh 195 on Sunday evening? Is your mother visiting?

No, I am not skinny and I eat a lot. In fact, not a day goes by when one of my coworkers doesn't comment on how much I eat. I am 5'11 and 185.

I am trying to get back slowly into shape. However, my body has responded very well. I am not really that sore and I think hitting a 210 pound bag with punches and thai kicks 5 days a week, running 6 miles the other two and then one day when I do both. I also am doing 200 pushups every other day. I am also doing 500 situps 4 days a week.I don't know? Is that slow? I really don't know. I didn't plan getting into shape. I was just stressed out and started a routine and now I have been doing it for 3 months. I only lost 5 pounds.

I will never be a muscle bound guy. I just have very thin frame. I am not ripped but not skinny.

I want roids. I can't weight to get some pills. I don't know. I just asked some chick that was smoking weed at my house if she would characterize me as a thin guy. She said yes. I said anorexic and she said no. Now, I am going to ask for a blowjob. Thanks for helping me break the ice.

Slow down there, pie-eating contest...or was it a pie-eating contest that you lost? I forget...anyways.:atu:

It's a goal. Reach it or don't reach it, aiming for it keeps me in shape and focused. :dunno:[IMG]

Frig, I did a three-hour hike yesterday and I am definitely not used to that. I also ran at a slightly more than 10km/h pace for 45 minutes at lunchtime. That definitely drained a bit of water out of me. I just might go down to 170. It's been such a gradual decrease that I'm positive it'll stay off permanently.

I'm gonna do a 6km light jog around 5 or 6, and I've got some walking to do besides. At least I'm feeling energetic and not worn like I was a few days ago.:kidcool:

Are you lifting more or less weights now in the gym? How's your deadlift coming?

Much less, Hanzy. I'm doing circuit training for the next 3 months and then I'll likely switch back to the heavy stuff. I'm now running faster than I did in high school when I competed in the Eastern Ontarios. Of course, I wasn't a great runner then either, but my endurance is just as good now. Plus, I'm actually speeding it up. As soon as I start running 10km three times a week, I'm going to make sure one of those runs is on the weekend and then I'm going to start adding to it, bit by bit.

And next summer I'll try running a half-marathon.

    Did you get them?

MY guess is no, but you might surprise me. Myself, I'm doing 75 chins, HSPU, and kneekicks everyday. That's on top of the running. I'm going to keep up the circuit training and add some other nightly drills to tighten up for spring.

If I can hit 175 by next spring, I'll be in Heaven.

I'm gonna try not to lose any musclemass, and I'm going to go lighter and increase my number of supersets and trisets to work on muscle definition. I think I'll make 180 at any rate, but 175 is certainly doable.

Very. I've cut out the junk food for the most part although I still enjoy the Saturday cheat meal and an occasional plate of shawarma with lots of salad here or there. I tend to eat eggs (egg burritos with hot sauce for breakfast), spicy thai chili tuna for lunch or a snack, yogourt, lots of water, granola and nutrigrain bars, and either pasta, chicken, steak or turkey for supper.

I have the occasional Diet Coke or gatorade, but typically I drink 2 or more litres of water a day. I also have the occasional Subway cold cut trio.

I try for moderation in everything. I had a beer last night while watching Scrubs, but drank over a litre of water afterwards.

I'm running pretty clean, nutrition-wise. I occasionally take potassium, magnesium, and Vita-vim for extra vitamins and minerals.

Last Saturday, instead of a cheat meal, I went to a keg party and I didn't gain anything although I had some draft beer. I made sure to have lots of water and vitamins the next day when I was helping a friend move.

i'm hoping in the next couple weeks to finish my outdoor chin bar so I can work on Muscleups etc..

80 HSPU, chins, and hanging kneekicks per day. I'm running about 11km in an hour and doing circuits on the days when I'm not running. I now run 3 times a week and walk on the treadmill everyday. I'm also doing boxing drills and drinking lots of water.

Yesterday I came back from the gym and weighed 200.2 on my digital scale. That's not bad considering I was having a lot of beer Saturday night and eating a lot of pizza. Otherwise I might have been 195-196. So this week I plan on getting down to that. :crafty:

Sounds like a lot of boring pointless sh*t to me. Why not go play tennis for like 2-3 hours daily or go rowing or something instead of doing useless crap like this? Push ups, chinups, knee kicks...
You train like you're trying to get into the NFL or something.

You could do all that sh*t using dumbells and barbells and the basic benches in the gym.

Your choices are actually a lot more useless to me, Hanzy. I can do the chins, HSPU, and knee kicks at home, in the office, or at the gym during lunch. Why do you care what I do anyway? I come here to discuss it with LOK, Huthut, and a few others...not some Big Mac-munching fatass who sits around whining about my training. It's like me asking you, "Why don't you set down the Big Macs and eat a salad once in awhile. Why not change your blubbery fat ass so you don't have a coronary?" I don't ask these things because I don't care about your training. :dunno::lol:

Tennis, I'd have to go to a court and there are none nearby. Same for rowing. Yes, the Ottawa river is 8 kilometres away, but I'd have to rent or buy a kayak or canoe and other accessories like paddles and goggles. Transport it to the river, get in with a lifejacket, and then deal with freezing cold water and the possibility of drowning.

On top of that, I have a son to look after and, unlike you, I don't plan on selling him.

So I do exercises that maintain my strength and endurance while I jog and do other accessible forms of cardio. I also do circuit training and it is burning the fat off. I do my training because it accomplishes my goals and keeps me healthy. Why do you care, Hanzy?

No, actually he couldn't. You need an overhead bar and sufficient clearance to do muscleups.

But maybe not at gyms near him. They don't at the ones in my area. To be able to do a muscleup, you need a freestanding bar that will support a gym member. It's different than just a chinup bar attached to a Universal machine.
