Definitely love to hear from you again, LOK. I'm gonna add burpees and trunk twists to my daily routine along with mountain climbers and make it a big 12.

I'm in great shape. Benching 250lbs, curling 50lb dumbells...going great on the abs...100reps in one set on 100lbs. I'm ripped.

I actually quit weight training entirely because of the problems that it caused for my back/shoulders when I was younger.

Mainly just spar/bag/mit workouts coupled with some circuit training. I honestly feel better than I have in a very long time. Great program.

Only thing I've ever been able & particularly willing to do, I continue after so many years --- run, run, run. Sprints for aesthetics, & promoting a lean, ripped physique. Distance jogging as a stress-reliever, & as a mind-clearing act. I do love the jump-rope, too. A thing of beauty to lift your feet not an inch off the ground, but clear the rope every time. A beautiful thing, the natural sense of timing the rope developes for you. It becomes effortless with time.

    Nothing beyond those essentials, though.

Keep your eye on my Facebook for when I post the Canada Day photos after July 1st, Hutster.

I can't talk for the rest of these bums (kidding, guys), but I'll look better than I did with my son in my profile picture. :bears:

Hey LOK, you know how to do a plank, right? you get in the pushup position at the bottom, but instead of resting on your hands, you rest on your elbows and hold your body rigid. I'm working on something similar (keeping the torso tight and rigid) while I climb this knotted rope using just my hands and the backs of my calves or ankles---keeping my body as rigid as possible while climbing upwards on a gradual angle.

It does amazing stuff for your grip, forearms, core, back, and even rear deltoids. I'm going to get up to doing some really neat stuff and then make a vid...but it's a gradual thing. I grease the groove doing that and the circuits, so I'm able to do them pretty much everyday except when it rains hard.

Anyhow, it takes the bodyfat off and adds muscle really really fast to your whole body. :bears:

It's basically like doing a plank upside down while you reach out with your arms. Only problem is the bruises you get from the knotted rope on the back of your calves as well as the rope digging into your achilles tendons and hamstring tendons. I popped my hamstring a bit from doing it, but it's getting easier and easier. When I get ropes set up all over my property, I'm gonna take a clip of my doing what amounts to 100 reps or more using my whole body.

I have acres of woods, so I'm developing a good setup for ropeclimbing and it's fun. Like a jungle gym for an old geezer.
