I don't know about this. I'm not sure Soto is still any good after watching him struggle with a guy beneath him on the Pac-Hatton undercard. Pac would probably steamroll Soto today, assuming of course Soto even gets past Valero. Still, I'd prefer Pac fighting Soto over the sloppy no skill having Valero. Most would think Arum would be dumb to not put Pac in against Floyd next, but Arum would seriously cost himself millions just to take a stab at Floyd. The dude is that big of an asshole.
Is it gonna take 10 losses for you to realize Soto is not that good? He really isn't! I know that Valero's record has a lot to do with the competicion he's faced but he did win a tittle by KOing the champ in his hometown. Soto against Valero to me is a toss up. Mainly because I still don't know how good VAlero could be. With Soto I keep hearing hype about this guy and he never wins a big fight. The one time he fought for a tittle Guzman schooled him. I still can't believe Arum is trying to hype up Soto as some possible oponnent for Pacquiao.
You know what? I believe it now. The Guzman loss and him struggling with that dude on that last PPV set it in stone for me.
Guzman hardly schooled him. It was a close fight !!! And Guzman fought like a bitch. It's no surprise after that fight that Soto has been on TV and Guzman hasn't.
It's apparently gone from Soto-Valero to Chavez Jr.-Troy Rowland. :hammert: http://www.mlive.com/boxing/index.ssf/2009/10/cedar_springs_troy_rowland_wil.html
