Pac coming off beating Oscar...hell no he wouldn't get flack. Basically it's a fight to get his spot back.

The more people play up how much of a mismatch this is, the bigger it becomes for Pac when he beats Oscar. I can easily see Mayweather-Pac being the biggest fight in history based on the potential to sell to the Asian market.

It's also a fight I can see Floyd pricing himself out of.

I wouldn't be surprised. But if this did happen Money would never agree to fight at 140.

It's all about the atmosphere my friend. I've flown out to Vegas for 3 Pacquiao fights now and have had a blast every single time. Even if I don't get tickets to the fight I'm still gonna go and hang out with all the drunk ass pinays.

Yeah but REED was talking about if Floyd was fighting Pacquaio right now not after a DLH win.

I guess we have different definitions of what "great exciting fights" are.

the rematch with mosley was in no way an exciting fight. who pulls that out to rewatch? I said TOP opponents so you can throw out the rematch with chavez at welterweight. just because delahoya struggled that doesn't justify chavez as a top opponent. that was a joke. the quartey and trinidad fights were both dull, and does anyone really think a quartey vs. trinidad fight wouldve been anything short of action packed? the common denominator is delahoya. he isn't exciting. hopkins, whitaker, mayweather. all dull. at best 25 % of his big fights are watchable.

So THE FACT that Floyd is MUCH CLOSER to Manny Pac's Size is IRRELEVANT???:dunno:...

Sure, DeLa's Old, but he's Also a Former MIDDLEWEIGHT!!!...

    Exactly...

If Floyd was Facing Manny Pac on December 6th, as Opposed to DeLa, Damn Near EVERYBODY On this Site would have ISSUES w/It...Particularly the DeLa Fans...

Even Muzse HIMSELF would have a Problem w/It...

Actually I wouldn't. As said, it's a bout to get his spot back. I'd have no issue with that.

Mayweather-Pac is more interesting than the DLH fight.

I'd like to see Floyd fight Margarito but we all know that's not happening. There's a list of guys Floyd won't fight, Manny isn't on that list in my opinion.

You say that as if Oscar was really a MW. Come on REED, you say Floyd wasn't a welterweight but Oscar was a middleweight? GTFO!

    Put it THIS Way...

DeLa's MORE of a Middleweight than Manny Pac is a Jr. Welter or Welter...

He's no more a MW than Floyd is a Jr MW. In fact Floyd looked in great shape at 150 while Oscar was a fat MW.

He wasn't really a middleweight against Hopkins, though.

DLH was in shape for his Oscar-weight in that fight.

Still, DLH's weak for making this fight.

Well, Correct REED if he's WRONG, but REED doesn't Recall Mentioning Floyd UNTIL Jaws Got All Pissy, Talking about "Roy & Floyd Fans"...

Oscar often gets hurt from bodyshots and he hates it down there. Roach needs to devise a plan for Pacquaio to try to cave in DLH's old sensitive ribcage. Do it early and hard and keep working it.

    Which was your mistake.

It should be Fightbeat policy for Floyd to get mention in every thread.

As said before, if Pacquiao upsets De La Hoya, I'd expect to see Mayweather-Pacquiao in 2009.

While that's not as bad as DLH-Pacquiao, it would still be pretty bad.

Why does every thread come to discussing Floyd?
Sure, he's one of the greatest fighters of all time, but using His name in vain is really an overkill.
Why can't we talk about fighters like Zoo or Margarita or Abdulaev or some other scrubs like that?
