Nah, cab drivers and bus boys are exactly what Ortiz does not need.

It's time for him to fight a top 10 guy.... just not a guy the level of Crawford/Spence.

Oh, I didn't even know Lipinets drew in his last fight. I've been watching fights whenever I can, but haven't been able to keep up with everything.

Last time I saw Lipinets is when he hammered the shell of Lamont Peterson.

Look, REED's as HIGH On Vergil Ortiz as Anybody; Looooove the Kid...

But This is an IDIOTIC Fight For Him @ the Moment...Sorry, You Don't Go From Brad Solomon to Samuel Vargas to TERENCEfuckingCRAWFORD, Bruh!:Jest:...Vergil's Only 22 Years Old...

There Needs to Be a Progressively Tougher (On Paper) Fight Or 3 Before SERIOUSLY Entertaining Terence Crawford...We're Only Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaays Removed from Watching a Young, Highly Touted, Hard Punching Heavyweight Come UNGLUED In His 1st Major Test...

& He Wasn't Facing an Elite Heavyweight Either...

No, Crawford's Not a "Wrecking Ball" But He Puts HANDS On His Opponents...Stopped His Last 8, Consecutively...Crawford ADAPTS Well And Takes a Mental Toll On Foes w/His Stance Switching and Tactical Changes...

Things Verg HASN'T Experience as of Yet...

It Behooves Ortiz to LOSE a Handful of ROUNDS 1st, Experience 10-12 FULL Rounds, etc., Prior to Stepping Up to THAT Level of Opposition...You Don't Go from the Kiddy Pool to the Pacific Ocean...

Crawford-Ortiz is a 70-30 Fight Right Now, or Worse, and You Don't Take THAT Type of Risk On a Kid w/Legit STAR Potential...

It's a Moot Point Anyways Because Their Pay Scales are POLAR OPPOSITE @ the Moment, There's ZERO Financial Incentive from the Top Rank/Bud Crawford Side and the DAZN/Golden Boy Side CAN'T Afford to Overpay to Make it Fiscally Feasible...

& DeLa Himself KNOWS This...It's All Talk...

It depends on what golden boys contract with ortiz looks like. If its up in a year or two then im certain they'd throw him in a big fight whether or not he's ready for it

Makes zero sense for team Crawford however like I previously stated

Plus, crawford is a guy ortiz could lose to and it wouldn't be catastrophic. Kind of how canelo lost to pbf. I bet X was swearing up and down Canelo would never fight PBF.

Look, if Spence gets past Garcia, and he should- the accident is the only doubt- then him and Crawford have to fight each other.

What "sense" did it make for Duran to go all the way to 168 from 135?

What "sense" did it make for Mickey Walker to fight Max Schmeling?

What "sense" did it make for any smaller man ever to fight any bigger man, ever.

What we call "sense" today and what they called "sense" back then were different things it seems.

Has the "sense of History and Legacy" completely gone out of the game?

Or is it all "Oh I will fight him only for £50m and never for £20m" these days??

    MAKE THE FIGHTS PLEASE.

Look at Lomachenko- for all the joking- he still took on a bigger man in Lopez.

And he never did. He was there. But he never fought him. Not like Basilio steaming into Ray Robinson.

He was there. But he fighted nobody.

It's one thing for a fighter's manager to think in these terms. That's what he's paid to do. But it is strange to me how fans are willing to defend this line of thinking, even engage in it.

Im a spence fan, but i find.it funny how people claim garcia only chance is because of the accident. When he fought two guys who are about at the same level than danny, spence didnt blew them away. Hes not proven enough to be a lock over a solid guy like garcia

Good thing for Danny and Angel is once Spence BATTERS Danny, Angel can say the accident benefited Spence, he had rest and long training camp

If Danny wins are looks even ok against Spence though, it's because of the accident

I think the more everyone says "this fight will be closer than people think" the more Spence is going to BATTER him like a BUM

not trying to be funny or anything but I wouldn't at all be surprised if a month after the fight Danny is Opening an ORANGE STAND in ORLANDO and never boxes again

From a reputation stand-point (money aside), it is a bit of a no-win for danny. If he were to win or even male it close there is no doubt people will point to the accident as the reason.

    Depends on how Spence looks.

We'll be able to tell if there's a noticeable physical decline.

He should not be winning against a 100% Spence. He's just not in Spence's league, and as Neil correctly said, Garcia hasn't had a big win in over 7 years.

He's been living off the Matthysse win for a looonnnnggggggg time.

DSG being seriously underrated here! He’s never gotten ‘beat up’ and has very much been in the fight for both of those losses. His body attack and combination punching still grade A level. His greatest weakness is simply size/height which he gives up to basically everyone at 147. Errol gives up some of that advantage though he doesnt seem to mind fighting at close range. Yes Danny is the underdog but he’s live.

Seriously, I watched a clip recently where Angel keeps talking about "We been here before! Matthysse was the boogie man!!"

I think Spence is gonna whup Danny's ass. And as always, I'll eat crow if I'm wrong.

I'm less concerned with Spence being ready for Danny, and more concerned with if he has enough for Crawford - cause that is an ENTIRELY different ballgame than ole flat foot Garcia.
