• I have the perfect solution: Make the next film Episode 9 start with Rey waking up in that island's cave realizing that all the major events in The Last Jedi was just a Dark Side hallucination. Luke is still alive, he trains her properly in the Force and then BOTH go out to light saber battle Snoke & Kylo Ren and kill them. The good guys wins, the First Order is defeated and with NO ROSE TICO in sight with zero SJW PC agenda shoved down our throats. Just old fashion SW fun.
  

 

Like I said from the very beginning, Han, Lea and Luke should have just been left out of the new episodes, nobody wants to see a bunch of geriatrics trying to relive their glory days. Plus their inclusion really didn’t do anything but detract from the story.

 

Had none of the original cast being part of The Force Awakens you can bet that SW purists might have never bought a ticket and would have boycotted the film.

 

Yeah if they were going this route, then it would have been much better to start fresh.

 

I just have to say this somewhere. The Last Jedi was so fucking shitty that it makes me wish I hadn't watched Star Wars EVER!

 

Apparently due to Solo’s failures at the box office Disney has suspended its planned spin off films. So that means no Obi Wan and Boba Fett prequels. All other planned non spin off films and tv series are still a go, for now.

 

That kind of sucks. Because the failure of Solo is due to the Last Jedi.

 

Very interesting report by Grace Randolph about a meeting held at Disney's headquarters this weekend. Apparently Disney's CEO Bob Iger wants to fire Kathleen Kennedy, but no one wants to take her job. There is too much fear of all the SJW still running Lucasfilm that the only solution would be practically to fire EVERYBODY that Kennedy hired!

 

Latest reports indicates that the Obi Wan Kenobi film is the only project still alive besides Episode 9.

That was exactly my thoughts. The Kennedy minions are planted at Lucasfilm to continue pushing her agenda. Unless Bob Iger fires everybody at Lucasfilm managerial positions, no sane person would want to work there...unless is another Kennedy sjw minion like Rian Johnson.

Kathleen Kennedy defiantly said "I don't feel that I had the responsibility to cater in some way to male Star Wars fans for many, many years...or that I owe men something." She didn't give two shits about the the core fanbase thinking that her equally minded progressive new fans could replace the old guard of fans by catering to their SJW politics. It didn't work. Recently a Lucasfilm employee (female) writer trashed SW fans stating that they are NOT Lucasfilms customers! Ha! Isn't that the most moronic thing you have ever heard?

Partially, but I think it’s mainly due to them taking two cool ass swinging dick, manly men characters from the 70’s and trying to parody and ‘update’ them with a squeaky voiced pip squeak and a dirty looking comedy sketch actor.

The idea of Han and Lando being cool didn’t really line up with the way they were presented.

 

You guys need stfu with “sjw” shit. The only real demographics move I’ve seen in the new movies is Rose. It seems like the main characters in the first movie being a white woman and a black man with a bit of sexual tension really freaked certain people out.

Rian Johnson made a shitty movie. That’s it and that’s all.

 

Rey is a Mary Sue character.

 

Luke Skywalker is a nobody punk kid character who discovers he’s actually descended from Royal wizards, has super powers and a cosmic destiny.

Han Solo is a cliche of an outlaw cowboy.

Darth Vader is a black knight corrupted by an evil wizard.

But it’s in space. Star Wars.

 

Apparently you missed completely the Laura Dern character, pink haired 'strong female character' that seemed to have a 'thing' with Leia. The closest to a lesbian scene that we have seen so far in SW.

 

WTF. I hated everything about TLJ but didn't get that lesbian vibe at all. Useless character.

 

I was thinking of mentioning Derns character but she just seemed like a bad idea, like that whole out of gas in space plot line. Total waste of time without a memorable piece of dialogue or scene other than the Mary Poppins telekinesis.

Didn’t pick up the lesbian vibe either. It seems like something pissed a certain kind of person off and now they’re reaching and stretching to create a narrative.

People complained that Force Awakens was a rehash of the original Star Wars, which it was in many ways. So Johnson comes along and says to himself, "I'm not falling into that trap. I'm gonna make this bitch totally original and unpredictable." In the end, his efforts to avoid making another good but unoriginal star wars was to make an utterly shitty one.

And those who don´t have much of a varied taste in movies.

 

I rewatched The Last Jedi (is on Netflix) and upon second viewing it wasn't as bad as I remembered. Sure, as a SW fan it still SUCKS death star size balls, but viewing it as its own thing, ignoring the previous films and logic, it is mildly entertaining. Rose Tico is still annoying as hell as well and Benicio del Toro's character might be his worst performance ever.

 

It is not on Netflix in the Netherlands.
