delahoya won't stop forbes. carr was pretty much done when delahoya, at his peak physically at that point of his career, looked terrible because of carr's boxing ability. forbes is not very much worse than that version of carr, and delahoya is nothing close to what he was in '99.
Car wasn't shot when he fought Oscar. Primed? Maybe not, but he wasn't shot either. THAT Carr beats fatass Forbes without any trouble, IMO.
Come on. That was just Oba Carr. The kid's career was ear marked with inconsistency and mediocrity. I don't need to remind you that he looked distinterested, bored and downright lost in there with Bramble. I'm all for tearing down De La Homo, but I think the evidence that he simply struggled so bad with Carr is enough. Carr was never that competetive with any other elite welter...and yes, he was a little older then, than when he was when he faced the others. But I still don't think he was shot. When he got in with Pineda...that was when that guy was finished.
What happened to the Floyd fight? I haven't been up on the news :dunno: I can't believe Oscar isn't going to fight Tito after all that whining for him to get out of retirement back when......wait a minute, yes I can, especially seeing Tito's body work against Jones and how Oscar takes a punch to the stomach
1. Nard respected the power of Winky Wright. I wouldn't put any credit in what he says. The few times Tito did hit Nard, it didn't faze him.. not as much as Nard got phazed by say Taylor's shots... Joppy got KO'd good I agree, Cherifi was simply scared shitless. 2. The point was, calling outs/pursuing fights etc.. doesn't mean anything. We only see what is shown publicly, not what happens in the closed rooms where contracts are actually negotiated and signed. All that matters is the fight at the end. 3. Forbes is closer to his "prime" than Tito. Neither is a serious threat at their weight classes. I give Forbes a better shot at DLH (slim) than Tito had at Roy (none). 4. I haven't seen their stare down pics actually. In the ring Roy looked slightly taller and considerably larger.
