Im still waiting for someone to actually make the case for why Diaz is some kind of P4P entrant. It was said, now I just wanna hear why.

That's beside the point. I wasn't saying it in a "Wow, he beat Lawler when he was only 20" sense, I was saying it more in a "When I watched that fight at the time, I didn't realise how young Diaz was".

I think Nick is young enough and has enough area to improve he could be talked about in that realm in about 3 years. But right now, no. The commentators are ust trying to build up one of their stars. Kind of like how Dana and Joe Rogan say Anderson Silva is the UNDISPUTED P4P KING, yet they know much of the mma world consider Fedor to be. Can't blame them really, they're just trying to sell a product.

It's a shame EliteXC folded right before Diaz was supposed to face Eddie Alvarez. It would've been fun watching Alvarez destroy Diaz.

You just claimed Romskis would destroy Diaz, and he looked like he didn't even belong in the same ring as him.

    Diaz would beat Alvarez too.

Diaz/Alvarez would be a great fight. Tough one to call. Eddie has good takedowns and really good standup. Aoki subbed him fairly easily, makes you wonder if Diaz could catch him on the ground. I have always felt Alvarez is a fighter Strikeforce really needs to make a play for.
