Shane will look like a corpse if he fights at 140.

No way he's effective and at his age, it's dangerous. He going to have to lose muscle mass to do it.

This really isn't a good idea.

    Precisely.

Losing muscle mass is what really hurts in regards to cutting weight. Prime examples are Roy and Byrd.

Shane Mosley is a nature freak. I would not be surprised at all if he goes down to 140 lbs and beats Pacquiao.

I view Shane like Hopkins: guys that apparently age makes them better. I was more impressed with Mosley's performance against Margarito than all his previous fights including the two DeLa Hoya fights. Likewise, Hopkins schooling of Pavlik was more impressive than his schooling of Trinidad since X was supposed to be Pavlik's easy KO victim in that fight. If Mosley thinks he can go down to 140 lbs, he probably can do it and pull the upset.

Shane sounds more desperate than a $2 ho. Shane let it go and sign to fight somebody not called Manny Pacquiao rapido.

What the fuck are you talking about? I realize that it is a popular thing to bust on you because you often present viewpoints that are contrary to commonly-held beliefs, but I really don't see how you can justify this...even to yourself.

It's harder to drop muscle when you're musclebound. That means you have little fat because you are so muscular. The last bolded part is bordering on idiocy. WTF are you talking about?

Shane wins a brutal slugfest. Pac will not win a fight with Shane at 140.

i'm talking about the fact that weight-loss is more difficult the bigger a fighter's frame is. Mosley's frame isn't that big.

Pavlik isn't muscle bound at all, nor was Castillo, but both have or had a helluva time making weight because of how big their frames were relative to their weight-class.

Why has Mosley been able to fight at 154 for years and continue to be successful and strong at 147, whereas ODH, having moved to 154, was clearly a zombie having made 147? frame. frame. frame.

RJJ was muscle bound at 200 pounds but is fighting at 168/175 now.

I think you're wrong and I'm right. What do you think about that? :atu:

Looks like Shane is talking about fighting Berto now. Says since Berto has the WBC belt that Berto is the only available fighter who he is interested in fighting now. I just have 2 questions:

1.) Isn't Berto scheduled to rematch Collazo? So shouldn't that have Berto tied up for now?

2.) How long before Shane gets a forced mandatory matchup with someone he doesn't want to fight? He's been sitting pretty idle for a while now.

It's not set with Collazo, and if the money's right to fight Mosley - though it isn't yet - I'm sure they'd bypass Collazo.

I wonder if Shane would rather just sit on the shelf and rust, waiting on the Pac-Cotto winner.

I mean, if he was willing to go down to 140 for Pac, he'd probably be willing to sit out another six months.
