I hope so, he's got some wicked tools,.. but a glass mind is a reality, especially against top competition, the only way we can especially find out is through this great tourniment where weaknesses will be magnified like none other, he'll be put to the test, as will everybody facing one different style to the next.

    That is a big call.

I personally can't see it. Confidence plays a part and Ward surely is at his highest point now, while Taylor has to be at his lowest. He took another sustained beating against Abraham. I can't see him having much left in the tank after that one, if anything.

Combine that with Ward's speed, which Taylor has not seen the likes of, and it's going to make for a sorry sight. Taylor isn't hard for the plodders to hit so I think Ward might catch him fairly regularly.

Ward is going to win this by mid round stoppage in a sickening beat down.:hammert:

    My other predictions:

Froch is going to stop Kessler in the last few rounds in FOTY.

Abraham's aggression will be enough to get him a split decision, perhaps undeservedly.

Dre is Quick (1 counter,or 2 shots) not fast 4,5,6 punch combo's. J.T. is a strong horse. Jumps in with wild power shots etc. This will make Dre get defensive. J.T. will back him up and land one punch that Ward want recover from and TKO him.

FRoch will need a mitt to catch all the work rate he will get out pointed from.

Abraham/Dirrell is a pick'em, but I can asure you Abe is lacking in work rate but he has great defense and is a DH when it comes to hitting HR's!:crafty:

I think Kessler - Froch will be a repetition of Kessler - Andrade. Kessler will come back will a vengeance, and Froch will not get the nod this time if the fight is close, since it will be on Kessler's soil.

Dirrell-Abraham is FAR from a pick'em fight. Dirrell has done NOTHING to suggest he can beat top level fighters. Pot shotting and running will not beat the best guys, unless you get REALLY lucky. Froch is a B+ fighter (and that is probably a bit kind) and Dirrell couldn't get the job done.

His actions leading up to the fight, and his complete lack of confidence- even while outclassing Froch in small spots- shows how little belief he has in himself.

Dirrell over Abraham would be the biggest possible upset in this tournament, in my opinion. Abraham is too much of a man for the weak-minded Dirrell. Although Ward was nearly a 2.5 to 1 dog to beat Kessler, most people knew that he at least had the tools to give Kessler the same types of problems Calzaghe did. And that made it an intruiging fight. I have seen almost all of Dirrell's fights and have not seen a hint of a fighter who can handle the type of mental and physical pressure that Abrahman brings.

This is certainly not to make Abraham into a world beater, because he certainly can be beaten by Ward or Kessler.... but Dirrell is easily the most unproven commodity I can recall on such a high profile stage.

Believe me I totally understand why you say that. You are spot on about the Froch prefight pressure etc. The problem with Dirrell is mental confidence and not boxing skill. Look at the kid; 6'2,switch hitter, the 2nd fastest man in boxing P4P. I think just as he grew after the Hanshaw fight. He pops in the Froch tape and realize he was 2rds from the same sucess as Dre Ward; world champion. Call me crazy but history shows boxer beats puncher. That's why we call Ali the G.O.A.T.:kick:

Yeah. However, Kessler looked shot. I don't want to sound like sour grapes. All I ever said about Ward is he was an unknown. Kessler I knew and that was not Kessler in there. He has been on the shelf for awhile. Obviously, I don't want to detract from Ward's victory and certainly he had something to do with Kessler looking awful, but Kessler had something to do with it too . If he has anything left the only drama is whether he stops Froch or not. I have to admit, I am far less confident now.

I'm still confident. Froch is an impossible target to miss, he's slow, and his chin is overrated.
