He and his crack head dad clearly felt that Berto was too risky for them.

Hard to explain why, but you just know that a guy who looks like this is a shitty fighter.

Garcia has been fighting shit for so long that when he steps in with Thurman he'll have forgotten what it's like to fight a quality fighter.

At least CanYellow's only ducking one quality fighter. Danny Gift's ducking EVERY quality fighter.

Err,.. meanwhile Thurman, barely escapes with his life against Jamie Foxx,.. didn't you see his last fight?.. how could you gloss that over so easily.. ?.. :nono:

    1. It wasn't life and death IMO. I had Thurman winning 8-4. It was a competitive scrap, but I don't see a valid case for Porter winning. Not as long as fights are scored on clean punching. Thurman landed by far the cleaner punches throughout.

    2. I'm not convinced that Garcia would beat Porter. This guy hit shot Guerrero with everything but the sink yet couldn't seriously affect him. There's no evidence that Garcia would be able to keep Porter off him.

    3. Garcia's style would be easier for Thurman than Porter's style. Porter is pretty scrubby, but one thing he does have going for him is quick feet. Garcia's feet are so slow he makes Canelo look like a young Roy by comparison.

Thurman will have be weary of Garcia's hook, but I think the disparity in speed, firepower, and SIZE will be too much for Garcia to overcome.

You barely have room to talk about Thurman's struggles. Last time Garcia fought a quality fighter he lost IMO. I had Peterson beating him.

:nono: *Gasp!* Why you orwellian weazel! .. "Cleaner punches" ...along with "Ring generalship" are both vicious incisions of corruption. Fights are scored on a criteria that encourages action, meaning aggression, which is why Thurman congratulated the judges on having an ''open mind'' , taking note of his "ring malleability" after being popped and wobbled,..:gig:

As for Garcia, I have no idea what you're talking about, but if you say he's a scrub, maybe I'll have to keep an eye on him.
