Not with the way things are run currently. But what can they do? The fans in attendance boo everything that doesn't involve 2 guys trying to smash eachother's faces. Nobody understands the technical side of MMA. This causes for people to change the channel. No wonder they pushed Kimbo to the moon. Look at the fanbase wearing his shirt. I have only seen the last two episodes, and only Elliot Marshall looked like a pro MMA fighter. Last night's fight was hilarious, in a bad way.

 

And Elliot lost a fight already and was brought back.

 

Wow. I really thought Junie Browning was going to be better than what he showed last night. The dude he fought really has no business in combat sports and Junie should have easily handled him.

As it turns out, it was a somewhat competitive yet boring fight. Myabe it was weight-cutting or just shitty nutrition, but Junie looked like dead.

I agree Trplsec, Junie's fight to get on the show looked like an established Mixed Martial Artist, nice movement, good boxing, fluid transitions, and then last night. I gotta believe it was a little to do with the weight cutting, but man he looked bad

 

Vinnie is badass on the ground. WOW. Now don't get me wrong, I think that retard Jules is the worst fighter on the show, out of LW's and LH's but checked him out a bit more on the web, the guy is world class BJJ. Before the start of the TUF season I was probably pulling for Mir to upset Nog. Now I hope Minotauro twist him into a balloon animal.

 

I think Mir was trying to say that Nog doesn't get too crazy with his jitsu, keeps it real basic. Which might have some truth in it, but Nog perfects it. He passes guard like no other big man on the planet, and his chokes are spectacular(ask big Tim) but he doesn't go for a flying arm bar. I think the way it was edited made it out that Mir and Vinnie were talking shit

The Fight WAS a Letdown though...Junie DIDN'T Even Try to Win the 1st Round...Just Followed Delgado Around the Ring & Basically GAVE him Free Shots...

But REED was Slightly IMPRESSED w/the Way Junie Dialed it Up to EASILY Take Round 2...Junie was GASSED N Round 3, but Still Clearly Won that 1 as Well....

Even N Winning, Junie was a Bit HUMBLED Afterwwards, so Hopefully he Takes his Craft More Seriously Down the Road...He's Quite Easily the Most TALENTED of the Lightweights, N REED's Opinion...w/Efrain Being a Distant 2nd...

Junie is not winning the show. Phillipe will kill him if they fight but I have a feeling Efrain beats him first. Nover is the only one who looks like a real fighter so far. IMO.

That's what Wednesday's show was about besides the fight. They were eating each other's food out of the fridge so they pissed in some fruit and one guy jizzed on some sushi and the food was eaten.

I'm quite enjoying this season. Nog's English aint all that, but he is a likeable guy at least, and quite funny in his own Brazilian way.

I don't really like Mir. Just seems like a boring, charmless jock.

Last season was full of chumps (fighting ability wise). This season has better talent, but fuck me, what a bunch of absolute twats :: Horrible bunch of cunts, most of them. Primarily Junie and Nelson of course. Nelson has a stupid gay little voice too.

I enjoyed Junie struggling against that fucking lanky streak of piss. That was a close fight.

REED, you said Junie was the best 155 pounder, with Efrain a distant second.

I put it to you that Phillipe would beat the fuck out of the pair of them. I almost guarantee that whichever one he meets, gets crushed with relative ease. I think Junie is the easier fight for him actually. He looked impressive in his first fight, and even more impressive dispatching the dwarf.

Phillipe is the best fighter on the show. Feinting boy done good.

By the way, how on earth is this going to work with 2 weight classes? Are there going to be 2 finals and 2 winners this season?

You and I have exactly the same take on last night's show. I thought Mir was an absolute dick for not trying harder to stop shots by Nog. Noguiera, on the other hand, was diving after balls and even banging into the goal post. And I would bet my house that Noguiera was motivated far more by winning 1K for his team as opposed to scoring the 10 for himself.

I said it early in this thread and I'll say it again. Coming into this season I was really hoping Mir would beat Nog and become a factor among the HW's again. However, you can't help but like Noguiera. The dude is genuinely nice and cares about the guys on his team. Hell, his boy got his ass kicked last night and Nog was promising to help him train even after the show was over.

And I love how Mir deduces that he his more athletically gifted than Noguiera after getting beaten in the challenge. I'm now hoping more than ever that Nog and his plain jane jiu-jitsu absolutely destroys Mir.

I agree with the rest of your post too. I don't like Mir at all, I think he is a cock. And with Nog, you can just tell he's not putting it on, he's a genuinely good guy. He sincerely wanted to win the money for his team, rather than the 10 grand for himself.

Mir couldn't give a toss, and had the cheek to say he was a better athlete.

I hope Nog crushes Mir in the first round, and I just think he might. Mir looks pretty scared of Nog to my eyes.

By the way, something that's confused me for a while on TUF. When a fighter loses, do they have the option of staying in the house or not? Some stay and some go, it's odd.
