Almost Arturo, almost. I didn't dislike him, but I wasn't sure how sincere he was, if the hugging thing was for real, or just an act etc. He doesn't look QUITE dorky enough for the new age power dork, close, but more importantly, he doesn't have the required ego and power trip that's an essential part of the "New Age Power Dork" make up.
Nah... They Took Thanksgiving Week OFF & Will Air 2 Episodes NEXT Wednesday, Back to Back... By this Time NEXT Week, we'll Know EXACTLY Who's N the Finals for BOTH Weight Classes... REED:bears:
Fuckin Junie::... We DEFINITELY Saw his TRUE Side Tonight...Kudos to Dana White for Actually REEDing Junie & Realizing he NEEDED to B Humbled IN The Cage, Instead of Kicked Off the Show... & Boy was he HUMBLED::.... U Could Almost LITERALLY See Junie Get WEAKER Mentally, as the Fight Progressed...He Actually had GOOD Moments N Round 2, Landing a Few NICE Right Hands, but After Those DIDN'T Hurt Efrain Sufficiently, Junie was DONE... Then he Gets Choked Out...He NEVER Took Efrain Off his Feet & LOST when they were Upright...It was a MENTAL Domination...Junie has the CLASSIC "Bully" Mentally...STAND UP to him, Hit him 1st or Hit him BACK & he FOLDS... Props to Efrain for EXPOSING him... REED:kidcool:
3 Out of 4 Ain't Bad... The Bader-Elliott Fight was GOD AWFUL...Probably THE WORST Fight REED's Ever Seen...Bader has NO Standup Whatsoever & NO Ground Game...He Basically has TAKEDOWNS, STRENGTH & the Ability to Keep a Man from Getting Up...Bader CONSTANTLY Took Eliott to the Ground & KEPT him There...But While There, Bader Did NATHAN... REED Expected Vinny to BEAT Krystoff, but Not as SUDDENLY as he Did...Krystoff was Landing GOOD LegKicks, but Wanted NO PARTS of Vinny on the Ground..After BRAGGING, "I Got Jiu-Jitsu Too" after his Last Fight, Krystoff WASN'T The Least Bit Interested N Showing it to Vinny...& that was Ultimately his UNDOING...Vinny Put an Armlock on him & TAPPED him Out... Phillipe Looked AWESOME N his Bout...Jumped On Roop SUDDENLY w/Punches, Got him to the Ground, FOCUSED on Roop's ARM & Damn Near BROKE That Shit B 4 Roop TAPPED...Many of Ya'll have BEEN Saying it, but REED is Now Convinced that Phillipe is THE BEST Fighter N the House, All Around... The Finals Will B Anti-Climactic...Vinny Should have LITTLE Trouble w/Bader & Phillipe will Beat Efrain (Though it WON'T B Terribly EASY)... Good Night of Fights Overall... REED:hammert:
Yep,...I see Vinny dominating the hell 'outta Bader. And I see Phillipe dominating the hell 'outta Efrain (Though it won't be as easy as many might think) Both these guys have mad potential in my honestest opinion.:kidcool:
..... Not sure what you guys are watching but there's a couple of things to keep in mind about the Bader-Vinnie fight. The biggest thing being that Bader will decide where the ight is fought. He has EXCELLENT wrestling. Vinnie won't be able to take Bader down. Personally, I think it will be a horrible fight and Bader will make Vinnie stand with him the whole fight. Bader doesn't have very good stand up, but it's better than Vinny.
I disagree. Bader isn't a great wrestler, he's a good wrestler. Vinnie isn't good at BJJ, he's great at it. Bader is more limited at stand up than Krystof, and he is most comfortable on the ground than he is standing. Bader will probably at some point think his wrestling will be strong enough like it was against Elliot and take the match to the ground himself, if Vinnie hasn't done so first. And when it goes to the ground, it will be over in less than 2 minutes.
Here's the complete card for the finals MAIN CARD Efrain Escudero vs. Phillipe Nover ("TUF" lightweight finals) Ryan Bader vs. Vinicius Magalhaes ("TUF" light heavyweights finals) Wilson Gouveia vs. Jason MacDonald Kevin Burns vs. Anthony Johnson Junie Browning vs. Dave Kaplan PRELIMINARY CARD Shane Primm vs. Krzysztof Soszynski Jules Bruchez vs. Eliot Marshall Kyle Kingsbury vs. Tom Lawlor Shane Nelson vs. George Roop John Polakowski vs. Rolando Delgado TFK
Of course he does. Junie went on the show to get attention. That's all. He never wanted to fight. He was submitted, so hopefully we'll see him getting KTFO and then never see him again.
I think Bader-Vinny will be a tough fight. I doubt Vinny will be able to jump on Bader and pull guard like he did against Krzysztof. And if it does go to the ground, it will be interesting to see Bader's strength against Vinny's Jiu-Jitsu. Effrain-Nover is going to be a great scrap. I think both guys are well-rounded, but Nover is probably just a little better at every aspect. Why would Dana White give Brownie another chance to be on TV? The dude absolutely quit in his semi-final bout. He clearly doesn't have the mental toughness to be a professional fighter.
Vinnie should beat Bader fairly easily. Bader just doesn't imoress me. Vinny has great BJJ. I think that Nover will beat Efrain as well, but it wil be a better scrap. Lol at Junie. Punk ass bitch.
i thought i was funny when junie was talking with that dude (before he flew off the handle) about bader-vinny saying vinny has better bjj than nogueira ::
Vinnie's resume in BJJ 3x World Champion (Heavy/Super Heavy/Absolute) Panamerican Champion (Medium Heavy) 2x Brazilian National Champion (Heavy/Absolute) 2x American National Champion (Heavy/Absolute) 6X Rio de Janeiro State Champion (2000/01/02/03/04/05) 3x Rio de Janeiro State Ranking Champion (2002/03/04) 2005 US Open Champion (Absolute) 2007 Grapplers Quest West Coast Champion (Absolute) 2007 North American Tournament Champion (Heavy) Nog has a great resume in MMA, but has never won a world title in BJJ His highest achievement in BJJ was winning the Panamerican games. both have their own sites check it out for yourself. Junie has a point.
REED I told you, it was pretty obvious Junie can't even fight. He's a bum, ge just looked impressive in the audition stages beating a lower class bum. And since then, he's just hyped himself up. In training, and in his fight against Roni Delgado etc, it was obvious he wasn't going to be beating the likes of Efrain or Nover. Also REED, I agree with you about Bader. What a fucking HIDEOUS fight that was. Bader is the king of lay and pray, what a fucking boring fighter. Efrain is a good fighter, skilled and crafty. He's nothing that special though, just a very good, solid fighter. I think Nover is more of a special fighter. Efrain is crafty, so he's not going to get steamrolled like the others, but ultimately Nover is just too strong, too vicious and too good, he's going to end up laying a beating on Efrain. I'm looking forward to it though, it's an excellent final. And yes, props to Dana for reading Junie, that was clearly Junie's exact intention.
you didn't say that. You were laughing at Junie saying Vinnie's BJJ was better than Nog's. Which is true. Is Nog more well rounded and the better MMA fighter. No doubt. But Vinnie is young, give him some time to develop into an MMA fighter. He has a bright future in MMA.
Dana took the easy way out with Junie and deserves no credit. Browning is a disturbed piece of shit who has no business being a professional fighter. Browning could have and probably should have been charged with reckless endangerment. Dana has always been a hardass when it comes to discipline and then the very worst guy (by far) they've ever had gets to stay in the house. It was bullshit. I hated that douchebag that tried to throw the guy into the rock garden back when dana even threw out a guy who cheered them on, but Junie was far worse. Mainly because he's obviously not all there. Now, Dana gets a guy throwing glass and punches multiple times and let's him stay. Fuck the ufc and fuck any credibility Dana ever had.
vinny subbed krystof with an armbar bader decisioned elliot nover beat roop by tapout (forget how) efrain used a darse-choke and tapped junie
Close! I think Nover takes it for the LW's. Vinny will probably sub Bader because Bader likes taking guys down and he's really only a wrestler. His best bet is to try to keep it standing with Vinny, his strength will get him in trouble with a grappler like Vinny. So I got Vinny and Nover as the winners.
