One concrete change with Suaraez was his hands dropped from chest to waist (and when he brought them up he's usually keep his lead out at length like a snake charmer rather than in a chest high peek-a-boo). He seemed to wanna work from 6" further out than he did under Ingle and you can see his default stance 'angles up' to being more side on, too. It looks like an attempt to make him work behind a consistent jab which he started doing much more of. Suarez made a real mess of him.

I actually thought he looked better than usual against Bungu. Less wild, it was a more measured performance from him, where he picked his shots well. The left hand that blitzed Bungu was nice and straight and accurate too.

But again, that is because he was up against someone who posed no threat.

Against anyone with good offense, or any decent, solid fighter, he'd look like the leap amateur he really was.

Bungu was a stylistic wet dream, Naz could probably have beat a prime version of him during this year's ramadan.

Against somebody with a good offense he was always gonna get hit and bounced around like a ball but the difference under Ingle was he was still an offensive threat, too. He was at his most dangerous as an inside fighter, just a really weird one. Saurez tried to make him more of a controlled mid-distance guy.

Mex, do you at least see what I mean about the difference in the hand placement as his career went on? From together on his chest to either at his naval or higher but far apart from each other?

I honestly think Naz could have fucked up Pac at 126. And Freddie Norwood, who had a win over JMM. Its like keep saying: styles. If you've got a weird style and a decent chin and {seriously} heavy hands, you can go places. Vitali, Naz, Froch, they all have their equals, but they will win far more than they lose, in almost any era.

You know how Suarez got the nod? He was Omar Sheika's coach. I ask your holy fucking pardon.

I can't see Hamed lasting more than 4 rounds with any version of Pacquiao. Far too hittable, and honestly just not in the same class as a fighter.

Sure, I could see some differences, I just think the notion that he was this highly diminished fighter is a myth. I think how good he looked was largely down to level of opposition.

I know I like to exaggerate and troll a bit sometimes, but with Hamed I simply think he's one of the 3 most overrated fighters of the modern era, alongside Tito and Tszyu.

Early in his career and particularly when he fought Robinson, when I was just a wee lad, I thought he was legit. When I became an adult I realised he was completely style over substance and just begging to be exposed by a good, solid fighter.

Your point about Bungu kind of proves my point too. Stylistic wet dream or not, if he was as diminished as people say, he wouldn't have looked that good a year before he fought Barrera. There was really nothing to criticize in that performance, at least not as far as Hamed is concerned.

I honestly believe the version of Barrera that Hamed did fight, would have schooled any version of Hamed. Hamed just wasn't equipped to deal with a good, world class fighter with solid fundamental skills.

Naz was the fighter who really got me into boxing properly, I was much more of a casual fan before then, so I'll always be a big fan of the Prince. There's no way he beats Pac though, the workrate alone would do for him. Mid-90s Hamed is competitive, and may drop Manny, but he loses clearly.

Sorry man, but he had definitely diminished by the MAB fight. As I mentioned before, check the sparring footage on the documentary, he looked worse than shit.

I've seen the documentary. That doesn't mean much. Everyone has bad days in the office and look like shit sparring.

There have been clips of Manny looking crap in sparring, then he gets in the ring and looks like a beast.

Whilst that's true, Steward looked genuinely concerned. SD is right, by that stage Naz was in love with his power.

Mexican fans can be such cunts. That beer stuff went out in England in the 1980's, apparently they still piss in cups and throw it at people in fights in Tijuana and Mexico City.

    "Froch's Coch"

Dirrell won the boxing match, Froch won the fight. The only person Andre The Pliant beat that night was himself.

That's because for some reason you have an extreme reverse hard on for Frock. You obviously don't like his style, but evidently he is much, much better than you think he is. You picked Boot to destroy him in a 1 sided fight :atu:

Frock would beat the crap out of anyone Hamed beat, if they were the same size.

Hamed NEVER beat anybody as good as Froch. That's a FACT! And I'm HARDLY a Froch fan.

However, Hamed was a better fighter than Froch, and P4P prime Hamed would light Froch up.

Froch spanks Neil's girlfriends ass raw with his Torah then arm-punches her around the place. Froch gets away with it because Neil is usually in hospital having his anus stitched.
