Fimo now says he wants Haney next. So hopefully that gets made so that there's NO QUESTION as to who's #1 at 135.

So for Josh, either he's gonna make one defense of the undisputed title against Catterall, or he's gonna go straight to Bud.

I think he'll fight Caterall in the fall, Bud will fight some no-hoper like Josesito in the fall, and then TR will make Crawford-Taylor for early 2022.

I think Taylor will fight Caterall at Easter Road.

He actually said that was the plan back in January (Haney after Kambosos) & I posted it here. I won't mention any names but a certain poster kept saying there's no way in hell Fimo fights Haney. The same guy who said Valdez would never step in the ring with Berchelt.

An undefeated, charismatic Scottish fighter with four world titles. If he can't do a stadium fight in Scotland, something's wrong.

I don't think this got enough attention or recognition in the uk, Scotland especially. Seemed to pass under the radar.

I would imagine Fury and AJ get the lion's share of the boxing attention in the UK.

Pity, as Josh is a much better fighter than both of those bumbling oafs.

I do agree though that Taylor should be WAY bigger here.

Up here he should be at least as big as Hatton was in Manc or Calzaghe was in Wales - it doesn't feel like it yet. Maybe he just needs his stadium fight

I was in Edinburgh when the fight happened, the day after I hardly saw anything referencing it nor heard anybody mentioning the fight.

It's a disgrace that none of the UK tv broadcasters could be arsed to show the fight but Sky are putting Mayweather vs a YouTuber on PPV.

Not as big as Hatton and Calz, eh?

Well, the solution seems simple... Josh needs to start doing cocaine.

Hatton's a fucking superstar here in Manny. So are Joshua and Fury, although Fury's probably not quite as big down south as he is here. Amir Khan't is probably the next most known, and there's a bit of a buzz around Conor Benn. No one else is really well known. Taylor definitely isn't.

Could be an indictment of Top Rank. Sometimes you get the feeling Top Rank doesn't want their fighters to get "too" famous.

The fact he he has achieved so much with so few fights has probably gone against him.

Most guys have 15-20 fights locally, building up the competition and also becoming well known, this didn't really happen for Josh, he has fought all over then just exploded on the world scene.

Boxing doesn't get much press these days really in Scotland either, but I hope this changes as he deserves it.

Does Taylor Have Any Scottish Commercials/Endorsements???...Friends w/Any Scottish Celebs???...

Especially w/Him Being UNDISPUTED Now, it's Surprising the Scottish Mainstream HASN'T Jumped on his Bandwagon as of Yet...

Hearn essentially controls who gets marketed over here. Warren has Fury but Fury markets himself really. There's a video of Dereck Chisora kicking off during a press conference that he wasn't the main event over Taylor-Prograis. Depressingly and infuriatingly most of the comments were things like "I'm only watching for Chisora, going to turn it off after that", "never heard of these other two nobodies", "Chisora is right, everyone is watching for him" etc. As mentioned previously Taylor-Ramirez wasn't shown on any television channel and barely got a mention on Sky or the other channels. Froch had the same problem when he was with Hennessey, he was fighting a murderer's row but he had absolutely no profile in the UK until he signed with Hearn, and then all of a sudden he's selling out Wembley Stadium.

    Unfortunate...

With Boxing Being a FRATERNITY of Sorts, it's Surprising Mainstream UK Fighters Don't Use THEIR Platforms to Boost Taylor's Name a Bit More...A Talent Like His WARRANTS It...

Taylor hasn't fought a big name yet. I think he'll be popular once he does (yes prograis is a really good fighter, but he's rather unknown)

I'm surprised he didn't gain popularity after he destroyed that insufferable cunt Ohara Davies.

That's how I felt about Lemieux after he knocked the fuck out of Camacho Jr. People were still hating on him. I was like "Can we just acknowledge he did us all a favor and rid the sport of this annoying prick?"

Haha, the thing which made me laugh about that is the 80,000 was a post-war record, which Froch famously would not stop going on about. Then they opened up extra seats for Joshua-Klitschko to make it 90,000 just three years later. Froch tried to act cool in interviews but you could tell he was absolutely seething about it :Jest:

Interesting. So Hearn is saying, "you want to be known in UK, you have to sign with me?"

Well, if Hearn is able to do that, that's on Top Rank.
