Hearn isn't able to do that. Hearn's only made one fighter into a star, and let's be honest, Joshua did most of the work on his own. Entertaining style, 'likeable' guy, big punching heavyweight who's also good looking and built like a brick shithouse. Eddie capitalised on the Olympics and built Josh up from there by taking him to all different cities and venues, but it's not like he had a lot of work to do.

I doubt he'd make Taylor a star, especially at this point in his career.

Basically, yeah. It's a disgrace that a fighter as mediocre as Chisora is way more known over here than Taylor.

Disagree, he was able to do wonders for the likes of Froch, Brook, Chisora etc. Maybe they're not "superstars" on the level of Joshua but they are far more well known amongst casuals than Taylor despite achieving substantially less. At the end of the day Sky dances to Hearn's tune, so if you don't have that backing you're not breaking through to the mainstream (with the exception of Fury who is a brilliant self-promoter).

So far, yes. I would have to agree. Froch's resume is better at the moment.

    That could quickly change though.

Let's say for instance that Taylor-Lopez happens, and Josh wins. Froch never beat a fighter as good as Lopez.

For sure, Tsylor career is far from over. But I don't like his chances against the top fighters

At 147, I think it would be tough for him. He can't beat Crawford and Spence, not right now anyway. If they fade, and Josh is still at his peak, maybe.

Problem for Josh is that Ennis and Ortiz are emerging, once they peak, I don't think Taylor can beat them. Well, I don't think he could beat Ennis right now, much less when Ennis peaks.

Fair point, I get what you're saying. I suppose what I meant was Taylor won his equivalent of the Super Six whilst Froch didn't, and Taylor became the clear top dog in his division, which Froch didn't, albeit he obviously didn't have to compete against a fighter as good as Andre Ward to do it.

Definitely not his whole career. He might spend a lot of his prime at 154.
