As in what would happen if Ramirez won? I think the Lopez fight is more likely. Gets annihilated by both, though. He'd probably fight Prograis, who would also beat him.

    Ramirez won't fight Prograis.

I agree he gets his ass whipped by both, but I see him more willing to fight Lopez.

Lopez and Ramirez don't like eachother.

But the third I guess you mean Regis?

Lopez sure AF wouldn't be favored over Bud.

I think he'll either have to, or will give up a belt. He'd have to face Catterall immediately after Taylor as well. There's some real good match-ups to be made around that division, as well. All the elite top guys but also some really fun Uzbekistani talent. Taylor is one of the sport's most underrated technicians IMO, and Progaies is a great talent. Ramirez has a very fun style too.

The only fight I don't wanna see between that cluster is Lopez-Prograis, because I love both.

No one offering any final predictions?

I guess the matchup isn't split enough for us to return to the Illuminati days of recording who is picking who.

The fight is considered 50-50 in the media, but here (and on ESB) Taylor is the overwhelming favorite.

My pick is Taylor by decision but I think it will be a close fight....and because of styles and Ramirez's height, I think it will be closer than Taylor/Prograis was.

I guess I'm hoping Taylor dominates and destroys Ramirez because I want to see a viable challenge to Crawford.

If Taylor goes life and death with Ramirez, then unfortunately he's just food for Crawford.

I have no idea how Taylor makes 10 Stone/140. NONE.

The lightest I ever got- and I am not a big person, 5'9, was 144, and I was desperately underweight at that weight.

How he makes 140 and stays strong and resilient I have no idea.

There's been a lot of wonders like that in history.

How did a man like Hearns with the body of a light heavyweight ever make 147?

How did Arguello ever make 126? Or Corrales ever make 130?

    These guys are unbelievably dedicated.

Maybe if you stopped denying his sister's paternity test results, dodging court appearances and paid your share he'd be here. From what i heard he had to take on multiple jobs to pay for the kid's expenses so has no time to post.

I read it's 22 and half barleycorn to the stone and 7 palms for the the ol' fathom depending on the furlong.

Here's the final conference call between the two:

I try not to look too deep into things, but Taylor sounds like a guy who's 100% confident going in, because he's been fighting top guys.

Ramirez IMO looks a bit nervous. Probably because he knows he's been fighting cans, and this a big step up for him.

Ramirez has faced some good comp. Nobody as good as Prograis, but Zepeda is good and Postol is "okay." Plus, Hooker is decent. Don't see the big difference here.

That's a separate issue. X said Ramirez was not confident because he faces cans. That's not true.

What is true that Ramirez was too shook to enter the WBSS, and ducked the man Taylor beat last year.

Taylor definitely sounds like the more confident of the two. I've seen a few Ramirez interviews, and something is different about him.

I remember Ramirez being interviewed leading up to the Hooker fight, and he sounded highly confident the whole time, even arrogant.

Not here. His whole demeanor seems a bit sheepish in this lead up.

Sounds like a guy who knows he's about to lose his belts.

I didn't think Zepeda won that fight. He blew in the championship rounds.

We both know why Ramirez was not in the tournament. Top rank and Espn.

ramirez won round 12, particularly with his rally in the last 20 seconds or so. when the dumbass ref kept jumping in and out of the action before zepeda could fire back. prior to that zepeda clearly won round 11, and probably round 10. giving ramirez every benefit of the doubt i could see a draw

"I got you beat in every department. All you got is your heart and determination, and I've got those two. How you gonna win??"

*Ramirez pauses, looking unsure of himself* "I'll... find a way to win."

Starting to feel quite confident that the Brit losing to Mexican streak ends tomorrow.
