Thats a hell of an observation to start this post. It makes a lot of sense. So does the rest of the post. :bears:

Good point. I'd like to see this is as well. He was losing the jabbing contest, but he was nailing Pavlik with the left hook almost at will, hitting him w/ combinations using great head movement.

By the middle rounds (6 and 7) it was Taylor's tempo but the accumulation caught up to him by expending so much early energy. The thing that I didn't understand is that Taylor has been in w/ the best (Wright, Hopkins 2x) and still came out looking like a championship fight rookie.

Once he settles down and corrects his mistakes he can beat Pavlik.

It's hard to correct psychological damage though. Taylor didn't look like any kind of hot sh*t in his last 4-5 fights IMO.

He had a shitload of ghostly right-hand punches raining on his chin, that's what.

Yeah I agree Taylor hasn't looked good. But considering his opposition like Spinks and Wright I gave him a pass. Nobody looks good against against Spinks, Hopkins and Wright. That's four fights right there.

Taylor hasn't improved much as a pro, he's still wild, not very accurate, but he showed some improvement last night IMO.

We'll have to see how Taylor recovers psychologically that's for sure.
