In amerian schools, in a discussion AT A SCHOOL, and when kids are asking each other how to spell SPELLED, then they turn to each other, and say SPELT. YES, in america, at american schools that use of the word is FUCKIN WRONG.

Wrong... I posted a scanned American Dictionary and it says NOTHING about use in ENGLAND.... I taught English for 3 years; I have the dictionary to back me up, and even spellcheck on Word if I need. There is no way you twist out of this.. You're wrong. The kids in your class are smarter than you. It's a tough fact to swallow, but your the bottom tier of a film school class. If that doesn't qualify you for ARC membership, I don't know what does.
Alright, time to bring this thread to a screeching halt. Hmm... Thinks he's always correct even when confronted with direct evidence that he's wrong... Thinks that his view for society is the only one worth a damn... Somehow he has the ability to do all of this without major repercussions... and he's a Texan...
I just checked 'SPELT' on the spellcheck in 'Word' and it says: "It's not a word, Team America....Fuck Yeah!"
American kids, in an american school debating the past-tense use of the word spell, and believing that it is S-P-E-L-T. FUCKIN STUPID. In america it is not a word that is related in any way to spell or spelled. Which is it, were they prodigies of the english lexicon or were they dumbfucks and thought that was the correct use of the word for use in an american school?
That's just a dumb, incorrect, and baseless comment. If you used "SPELT" in an essay in a ENC 101 class at any university in the US, you would not be wrong. And that is a FACT. Maybe you need to further your education BEFORE you start correcting those with educations.. Moron.
This is the quintessential I and I thread. Wrong on every count, back peddling from his original post, and trying to wiggle out of something he was caught wrong in. I and I... are colour, labour and theatre wrong also?
BUT... ...look back at the beginning of this thread and until I made my initial post, some people here were agreeing with the idiot. opcorn:
Not really. They were just kind of fucking with him at first. That always happens in I and I threads. Everyone starts their warm up until we actually start to study the thread. Than he gets owned every time.
