No he isn't...PBF hasn't 'put a beating' on anyone for quite some time.

Floyd may win, but he is very, very unlikely to 'put a beating' on Hatton, especially considering that fighters of the calibre of Castillo and Tszyu couldn't manage anything near such a thing.

    SURE he Will...

EARLY, Hatton's Aggression will Make it APPEAR that he's Doing Well, but by the 3rd or 4th Round, it'll B ALL FLOYD...He'll have TIMED Hatton's Rushes & the ONUS will B on Ricky to REMAIN Aggressive or Fight TENTATIVELY to Avoid Fuuuurther Punishment...

    It's HIS Call...

Hatton's NEVER Experienced HANDSPEED & ACCURACY the Likes of Mayweather:nono: ...Floyd's Gonna CHOP UP that Tender Ass Skin like a BUTCHER, have Hatton BLEEDING All Over Himself & Eventually STOP him in the 9th or 10th Round...

    It'll B a "BEATING"...The 2nd Half of the Bout will B COMPLETELY 1-Sided...& Sorry, Floyd's a BETTER Fighter than Castillo AND Tszyu...

Floyd put a beating on Judah, Mitchell and Baldomir. Baldomir was beaten up, make no mistake...Floyd just took his finger off the trigger late in the fight to protect his hands.

Floyd, will have some difficulty initially with Ricky's ridiculous workrate, agression and roughhouse tactics but eventually as Floyd adjusts he'll cut Hatton to shreds!!

    No he won't...

I would not deny that I am a Hatton fan, but I accept that it will be something of a surprise were he to beat PBF...

...HOWEVER, it will be a MAJOR surprise to me if Floyd is capable of administering the kind of beating to Ricky that you describe here.

I think Hatton's style will give PBF fits. I admit that, on the face of it, PBF should do well against Hatton's aggressive/come forward style (ala Gatti); in fact, I have no doubt that PBF took the fight because he too thinks this, but he is wrong- Hatton is no Gatti. He comes forward skillfully and aggressively using good footwork and has good handspeen himself, he has a very solid chin (at 140 at least and even Collazo, who apparently had Hatton's 'number', still didn't manage to knock him down) and can get inside to PBF where he can do damage by holding for AGGRESSIVE purposes, as he has done to much chargin recently. IMO, PBF will not be able to pick Hatton off with single shots as he comes in- Tsyzu tried that and Hatton just walked on through- PBF will have to catch him with clusters and combinations to deter him and I'm not convinced that he will do so...I also think Hatton has the edge in terms of punching power

I have said it before, and I will repeat- some cats on this site are seriously underestimating Hatton going into this fight.

I palpably fail to see how PBF is going to administer a beating to a man who has never even lost, let alone taken any kind of 'beating'. And it is not as if he is fighting stiffs: I don't contest that Floyd is better that Castillo (though he gave him arguably his toughest test to date) and Tszyu (though some would contest this), but I was not trying to compare these men as fighters- I was using them as examples of very good/world class fighters who have gone into the ring with Hatton and both been stopped.

LOK contends that it is 'impossible' for a fighter who has beaten these fighters, is unbeaten in over 40 fights and is the universally recognised champion of his weight class to beat PBF- my contention is that is insane to suggest it is 'impossible' for such a fighter to beat ANYONE, let alone PBF, even if he has to step up 7lb to do so.

I agree that Hatton is a dog, I agree that it is possible for the fight to go the way you describe (though I do not think it will for the reasons stated), I have major concerns about Hatton at 147 (where he was far from spectacular last time out) and I actually quite like PBF and can appreciate his skills and abilities as much as the next.

But seriously REED, do you think it is 'impossible' for Hatton to win? That is what I am arguing here...

Hatton is miles, MILES better than Judah, Mitchell and Baldomir. Hatton would beat the three of them to death combined

    The comparison is ridiculous...

Collazo did better than expected, and some would argue he did enough to win (I thought Hatton did just enough), but it was hardly a 'beating'...

I must confess that this lil' foray into 147 does nothing for my conviction that Hatton can win on Dec 8th: in fact, it is my PRIMARY concern...:dunno:
