The Judah fight was more "lucrative" than Margarito?

Not based on the offers I saw.

The "Public" was OBLIVIOUS to Margarita...U & REED Were, but NOT the "Public"...The "Public" KNEW who Zab Judah was & that's who Floyd Fought...

If Margarita Does the UNTHINKABLE N July, Floyd will Eventually Fight him...

What Made Hatton Worthy????....Uuuuuh, his Lb 4 Lb Ranking, his DRAWING POWER & his Status as the "Lineal" Jr. Welter Champion, a Designation Floyd DIDN'T Acquire During his Days @ 140...

No, Brian Kinney didn't co-erce Fraud into fighting Scrubdomir, he simply corrected Fraud when he tried to insult boxing fans world wide by claiming the upcoming fight between he and Judah, was for the "welterweight championship of the world".. ...

Judah was also the lucrative mainstream option that got his arse handed to him in an upset, but if you are an apathetic 'mainstream' boxing fan who's heard of Judah but wont be watching the fight or neccesarily giving a shit about it, then I suppose you can feel apparently disphoric that he took on a name you've heard once before, the guy that did that funny knockout dance 'das da one, das da one  ', but the fact is, you belong to the hardcore base, and you want us to empathise with the little rat-bastard :nono: instead of admitting that Margarito was indeed the biggest, toughest and most intruiging opponent available, clarified by the way Fraud wriggled out of Margarito's "On the spot" antics, and essentially ducked him.

Let's just leave this thread at this.

As of now, Floyd Mayweather is not interested in facing the best available fighters.

i doubt it. if margarito beats cotto, then he'll fight cotto again rather wasting his time calling out floyd.

floyd isn't going to fight a guy w/ 5 losses on his ledger unless his name is oscar.

there won't be any public demand (boxing writers and hardcore fans dont count) to see this fight. margarito does not have enough fan base imo.

A successful, tough, aggresive Mexican fighter always has fans, unless that heavily bi-partison crowd mistook Paul Williams as Mexican?. Margarito certainly has more fans than Baldomir Joon, (who was apparently "worthy" enough, 11 losses and all),..,

baldomir fight was demanded because he beat judah and was considered the man. and most importantly, it was an EASY payday for floyd.

floyd may or may not beat margarito, and even if he wins 12 out of 12 rounds, he knows that it's going to be a physical fight. in the end, it's a risky fight that he really doesn't need.

i like margarito and hope that he smashes cotto, but i think a fight against floyd is very unrealistic.

margarito might have fans in the west coast, but he certainly does not anywhere else.

    Mexicans R Boxing's Most LOYAL Fanbase, yet Margarita STILL ISN'T a Draw...The 1 or 2 Times he's Headlined a PPV there's been DISASTROUS Results:lol: ...

A FEW SoCal Mexicans Care about Margarita, but on a Whole, Most of them DON'T...

Even RECENTLY Popular Mexican Fighters like the Marquez Brothers, Israel Vazquez & Jorge Arce SHIT on Margarita, Nevermind the Legends like Barrera & Morales...

Hell, Abner Mares is a More POPULAR Mexican Fighter than Margarita...Ditto for Daniel Ponce Deleon...

Margarita is NOT a "Draw" & he's INCONSISTENT...

I, the dispensable forum cum-bucket, have a confession to uphold.Floyd was never afraid of Margarito, the look I deviously misrepresented as fear, was just the reaction of sheer disgust from a bonafide superstar.Margarito has the tactical output of a windmill on a farm in Tijuana, who's peasants all perished when Daniel Santos came and kicked it's arse,if ever again I want to jump on Reed's dick, I pledge to address both my mother and sister in an orderly and respectful manner.

What makes you say it was b.s.?

Has Mayweather or Ellerbe disputed that there was an offer made, or the amount?

That's an interesting take, given that Cotto-Margarito is easily one of the most anticipated fights of the year.

Well, it's yet to be determined how much the public wants to see it.

What's your estimate on ppv buys?

Do you think it will do better or worse than the Mosley fight?

    Worse.

Mosley is more well known that Margarito and had some successful PPVs over the years.

Arum reported Mosley-Cotto at 400k, which means it's probably less. Other reports had it around the 370k mark.

I say Cotto-Margarito does in the high 200s, maybe breaks 300. July usually isn't too big of a PPV month.

Also depends on how well it is promoted. Maybe Top Rank will do a good job and it'll sell more.

    Cotto-Mosley.

I don't know that Arum ever released the exact numbers, but supposedly it did over 400,000.

    I hadn't seen the reports of 370,000.

Well, they've shared the last two fight cards and had about a hour and a half long preview for it a couple weeks ago.

I'm curious to see where it ends up. I figure it would attract more Mexican/Mexican American fans if it's in Las Vegas than on the East Coast.
