Yeah, I brought it when it looked like this,...

you know, amazing, beautiful colours for a freshwater / brackish fish,.. had to buy it, had to take the risk that it wouldn't be aggressive,..

then later, after thousands of dollars worth of exotic tropical fish slid down it's gullet, it ended up looking like this,..

"Oh fuck,... what have I done".

I viewed the video, and I see they're lightning fast,.. pretty sick to see one snakehead doing a death-roll on that hapless cat, while the other snakehead follows it around, gobbling up the splinters of flesh and bone,..
Could only imagine what a full grown one could do?,.. I wouldn't want to wash me dick in the same river.

Fuck me, you're right, that really does look like a little African cichlid when young. Or like a cross between an African Cichlid and a young Green Terror.

Damn right they are fast. I had a psychopathic Albino Snakehead that would just destroy anything you put in the tank with it, it had to be kept alone. It would also try and attack you through the glass, and attack much bigger fish.

You have to admit, the alligator roll is fucking ace.

If you wanted to try fish again - a very interesting and VERY fast pred that shoals, and doesn't kill everything, I would recommend a freshwater Barracuda (Acestrorhynchus Falcatus). Stick a bunch of them in a decent sized planted tank, plus a shit load of feeder platys = fun.

They are very, very fast, as fast as a snakehead, the difference is they are not aggressive with other fish and they only grow to about 10 inches. The catch is they generally only eat live food, fish or river shrimp.

Never again Mex, never ever again. My messageboard philosophy may be 'no softies allowed' but when it comes to the confines of an aquarium, I feel the opposite,.. if I were to return to keeping fish,.. (which is unlikely considering I'm using the old tank as a lizard pitt),.. I would keep some varieties of discus, with a school of silver angelfish, that'd be a soft enough comeback to keep the pulse down.

Alligators are nice pets. Caimans, not so much - unless you like watching rats get murdered because they can't escape the aquarium's glass.

Alligators, of course, like to eat too. It's just, they're a little more sane. You can hold alligators and walk them. Caimans just want to kill you. The only reason caimans made their way into the pet trade is that once upon a time gators were endangered.

My advice is that neither is an appropriate pet, but if you have to have a crocidilianm, get an American Alligator (make sure he's American). Fuck caimans - they literally bite the hand that feeds them.

Or, just try a Basset Hound.

I'm actually not really sure exactly how I feel about PED use in boxing. While I don't like it, I feel that most athletes would take stuff to get them an edge if they were confident they'd get away with it, and in boxing, as Flip Homansky said, you won't get caught if you know what you're doing.

Yeah I know it seems hypocritical, I'm iffy iffy about how I feel about drug cheats in a sport like boxing (where ENHANCED PERFORMANCE usually means more damage to your opponent), I don't hate Mosley, Toney, Botha, etc... yet I know I despise Margarito for loading (or attempting to load) his gloves.

    I guess I'm a hypocrite. :dunno:

:crafty: Well.......... I think, I remember,.... upon my post where I said, "Mosely conducts himself honourably" some time ago, not factoring in his PED use at that time, you responded,.. that you "Dislike Mosely due to his dishonourable conduct" , and you were right, you obviously had his PED scandal firmly in mind,.. Now if such a rightfully disgraceful act on his part, can soley cause you to dislike him,.. wouldn't you say that discovering a fighter who uses PEDS, has negative effects on you?

It does, but my opinion has sort of shifted to the "a ton of guys use some sort of PEDs", which is why I'm not quite sure what to make of it. Is the sport simply largely filled with users against other users, all trying to gain some sort of edge?

However it is still simply speculation to think that such a high percentage of them use PEDs, so as it is, it's fair to criticize the Toneys, Mosleys, Bothas, of boxing than to say "well the other guys they beat were using too".

I remember Doug Fischer writing on The Ring's website holding Mosley up as a model of whom fans should like, not Mayweather. I was thinking, a lot of Mayweather criticism is fair, but couldn't you bring up a different example than a guy who used the Cream, the Clear, and EPO?
