Lol we won't ever find out, but no, he wouldn't. Both Brook and Spence are better fighters than Teo. Even at the stages they fought Bud.
Lopez looked bad vs a stinky opponent. It has happened. Guys, even elite guys, who come to win won't have any easy time with him
I can’t believe I was excited for this. Ortiz put on his track shoes while Teo couldn’t do shit. Saying that though Teo should have lost, Ortiz outboxed him simply put. Another bad night for Teo. He just can’t seem to adapt to certain styles and it shows how limited he is. He’s very fortunate that the best fighters he’s beaten had a style that favored him. Against movers he looks lost. Haney would surely box circles around Teo, and Crawford will annihilate Teo. Teo isn’t as great as he think he is. Talented fighter but doesn’t have what it takes to be truly great.
At 140, I think you have a point. Teo is still live or favored over all those guys. At 147? Boots has an extremely easy time with Teo, and you know it. Teo would be in the ground in less than 5.
Id take ennis over Lopez. And it would be alot more one sided than Crawford Lopez. But that fight makes absolutely zero sense for lopez Lopez is average to small at 140. Going up to 147 makes sense vs crawf0rd. Not anyone else really
I think Teo is still a favorite over Matias, though certainly not a lock. Ryan and Rolly... nothings changed there. Those two aren't on Teo's level. But Haney now looks to be too much for Teo.
Matias comes to fight. Ortiz fight got zero to do with that outcome Haney could stink a win out. Who fucking cares tho? I dont get the haney praise. That's what you wanna see ?
Haney and Teo are unquestionably the two best junior welterweights in the world. By virtue of that fact, yeah, I'd like to see it.
More than Lopez vs matias? If I'm spending my money it ain't to go see haney Got burnt tonight on this ortiz shit
No, I think it makes more sense for Lopez-Matias to be next. And presumably, Haney will fight Ry next. If they both get through those fights, then I wanna see them square off.
Who do you reckon is next for Ryan? Haney vs Garcia is a big fight on the West Coast. And Ryan, because he beat Haney in the amateurs, I don't think he's scared of him. I don't think Ryan can win, but I think he'd be willing to take the fight.
Romero made the most sense for all parties involved but haymon got some sway on these guys to do what isn't best for their career
Maybe that's his biggest payday. And he isn't beat bad enough to be no longer viable. I could see it happening. But interests me zero to watch it happening
I don't wanna hear ANY more excuses for Teo's bitch ass. Don't tell me about the styles. You gotta be consistent, and you gotta be able to cope with negative styles. No fucking excuses. Ray Leonard fought a negative southpaw in Larry Bonds, and still beat the shit outta him and stopped him. Even all time greats who blew hot and cold, like Toney and Benitez, were far more consistent than Teo. Had enough of this loud mouth homo's antics.
Teo is simply not very good. He has a tricky style that can work.against some elite fighters, but his lack.of.skills makes him vulnerable against pretty much anyone
Josh Taylor is flat footed and never met a punch he could avoid, so I knew he'd be a good matchup for Teo. Matias should be a good matchup for Teo, but ya never know.
Brook in his prime would knockout Teo at 147, no outboxing. Too big and strong and too much firepower. Prime Thurman beats the brakes off Teo too.
As it turns out Lopez beat the top dog in 2 divisions and brook beat absolutely nobody aside from a grappling fagget
Teo loses to all 4 of them: Brook, Thurman, Porter, and Danny. Crawford and Spence are too obvious to even discuss. Also, if Teo is at 140 15 years ago, then he loses to Bradley, Alexander, and maybe even Khan if Khan's chin holds up. I don't see why Khan's chin wouldn't hold up. Lopez has yet to demonstrate big power at 140.
Teo is best as a counter-puncher on the front foot IMO. His biggest strengths are timing and athleticism, but yeah, I couldn't see him beating any of those guys except Khan. His real issue is simple complacency IMO, he just doesn't get stuck in enough for my liking when guys aren't giving him what he wants. I used to think Teo would smash through Haney with no regard for what was coming back. I'd love to see it.
In Brook's defense, at the time Thurman and Garcia weren't anxious to face him. And I think Kell can take comfort in the fact that he didn't take an L from Bozos, and didn't get gifts over Martin and Ortiz.
