    I disagree about 'Aliens'. In fact that one is the best in the franchise, it followed the events of the first on nicely and then it turns into a combat film instead of a horror one. If anything t was ALIEN3 the one that killed the story: by having the girl Newt and Hicks killed off camera at the beginning of the film it made the whole ordeal of ALIENS pointless. The whole film was a downer and Ripley's demise was even worse.

    Agreed.

    Alien 3 is where it all went wrong, Aliens was a good sequel. I didn't like the fact that they made the Aliens more vulnerable, than seemed to be the case in the first film....but I have no real qualms with that one.

    T2, however, destroyed the Terminator franchise and it never recovered.

    Okay, that's a fair point about 'Aliens' - I just see it now as an action-movie with zero chilling set-pieces and the opening to allow Weaver to be in everything connected with it...

    this movie is an averageish 6/10 movie
    its worth checking out for free if you like the old ones

    where they fuck up is making it about time travel plot turns...waaay too over complex, like they took the stories of 3 movies and crammed them into 1
    shoulda just stuck with 1 idea and made an action movie around that 1 idea
