    We spent ~40 million on two CB's, no improvement.

    It's such a shame we couldn't keep Suarez for another season. This time last year I was really looking forward to us in the CL.

    I follow Rugby, unfortunately Leinster are on major decline. Also the money is starting to flow in the game. The French teams are like Barca/Real. The can buy any player and pay double the wages.

    Honestly, I'm not sure Suarez would make much difference. Even his moments of brilliance would struggle to bail out the shambles at the back against this quality of opposition. The sad reality is that the gap in quality between the teams is absolutely massive.

    With Suarez in the team every player in red performed at a higher level. I'm not sure how much of Liverpool you have seen this year, we don't do any of things that made us effective last year.

    Forget this game, QPR battered us on Sunday. Last year even without Suraez, we would have knocked them for 6

    Modric to me is another Ozil.

    Really not great but gets away with mediocrity because he plays for a ridiculously strong team. I rarely see him positively impacting the game.

    Windy. I made a semi-major boo-boo in work today too. But i've made myself a huge bowl of chicken breast mixed with half a freezer of spare foodstuff's that've chosen to cooperate with each other manfully. And I have a chocolate stout. Overall I'd rate the situation: neutral.
