The English didn't take the potatoes, far from it, they imported it to Ireland and exported everything else. Fucking shit cartoons.

This, on the other hand, is hilarious.

    1:25 cracks me up.

None of the cartoons are meant to make any sense. They're pure meta, no.

They are pretty good, apart from the potato one, which just got it all wrong.

i think most of them are deliberately a bit nonsensical. The fact they dont quite make sense is part of the humour. i wont try to describe what the hell i mean, just trust that i mean something

It doesn't have anything to with the famine. I think it's more if Ireland goes into debt owing the EU. Instead of helping out the brits are coming in taking what's left.

Yeah but they're all over the place, just depends on who makes them so it's hard to really pin anything down.

I think you're missing the point... It's not meant to reflect what the English actually did

Most of them are just represented in ball and flag form but there are exceptions. For example Britain has the top hat and monocle, and the U.S. has sunglasses. Sometimes Mexico has a sombrero. Again they can be made by anybody so it's not like there are rules one has to abide by. Those are a few of the common conventions though.

Looking over at some other scores i see some of the minnow nations have already started their pointless WC qualifying matches. Timor-Leste beat Mongolia 4-1 and Brunei Darussalam got a 1-0 win over Chinese Taipei.
