Exactly as I thought, you go by what you read off internet sites.

I guess using your logic it's easy to determine who has a better chin between these fighters:
Lennox Lewis and Mike Tyson (Lewis)
Roberto Duran and Rocky Marciano (Marciano)
Sugar Ray Robinson and Alex Ramos (Ramos)

I thought I heard the opposite; that Benitez was dating Ray's sister. But if you're correct that's the biggest revelation in recent bxoing history for me. :eeeek:

Maybe you're right, I was 18 at the time and fresh out of High School, I'm pushing 47 now, bro.

It was Benitez who dated Leonard's sister. And the Juanita that Leonard married was a girl he knew as a teenager in MD and the mother of Ray, Jr. (of the 7up commercial fame)...and NOT Benitez's sister.

I'm going by ur dumbass analogy HARDONFORRocco.

Joe Louis is not one of the 3 best HW's ever, let alone fighters in all divisions. If you wanna use accomplishments and all that bullshit for this topic, we'll just have to call taht CYC logic from now on.

Joe Louis is CERTAINLY one of the three GREATEST Heavyweight sof all time, but arguably NOT one of the three "best".

It can be argued that any of the following, at their bests, would have beaten him:

    Ali
    Tyson
    Lennox Lewis
    Larry Holmes

It depends on your criteria. Louis may have been dropped but Ko'ed is another story. When he was at his best his punching power made him a terror to fight... in both hands. Oliver Mccall who is a pure puncher and may have developed to be a great fighter under different circumstances shows what Louis might have done to Lewis.

Holmes was a great fighter but never had the invincibality of Ali (at his best) of Louis. Tyson is up there.

he still had a bad chin and terrible opposition. Even a fan of his offense can appreciate how limited his defense/chin/footwork was.

Doubtful however that Louis would get KTFO by living legends such as Buster Douglas or Hasim Rahman.

    Why Not??...

He was DROPPED By "2 Ton" Tony Galento...It's DOUBTFUL Douglas OR Rahman would Taste the Canvas Against a Fighter THAT Bad...

Galento had a Fucking BEER KEG for a Stomach...

Tony Galento was described by Rocky Marciano when Jackie Gleason was his guest on his tv show "The Main Event" as the toughest streetfighter he ever saw.
Galento was one bad, authentically tough motherfucker.

    C'Mon,KARL...

By PROFESSIONAL BOXING Standards,Tony Galento was CRAP...& he was Built MORE Like Jackie Gleason, than a Prizefighter...The Guy was Completely UNskilled & Never EVER N Shape...EVER....

There's Probably 200 BETTER Heavyweights TODAY & this is Admittedly a WEAK Era for Heavy's...

John Ruiz would've TOYED w/Tony Galento...

Galento was a BIG,BRAVE Guy,so Sure,he was an Effective "Streetfighter",but there's about 1,000 of those in Every Major City...

Galento used to do his roadwork in his Cadillac REED, but was an authentically tough man.

I consider being dropped and getting up to pummel the hell out of your opponent different from being down and out, I could be wrong though.

Right... Kimbo is a well-known "streetfighter".. Does that mean he'd make a nice name on Wlad's resume?

I don't need to have seen Greb fight to know what I'm looking at on his record but I see your point Jaws. If I had to squeeze it down to only fighters available on film, Pep would likely roll in at five.

I mean for a greatness or impact type of thing, then I guess u could make a case, but not for the "best fighters you ever saw."
