    I wouldn't know, I'm happy, like a rambunctious puppy.

I'm sorry to hear that you're miserable though.

What's the problem? Relationship gone sour? Shitty job? No money?

I hope you find someone to comfort you and make you less miserable, even if that person turns out to be a man.

    Nah, its woman, woman spurned.

That said, I can understand that you are loathe to mention their name, the choice-wanting, career-wanting, non-rhythm method favouring harlots.:bomb:

Seeing women walk around everyday with their bare faces heinously exposed must sicken loadedheathen.

To think of it, women walking around, with uncovered faces! The horror!

what if a man and woman marry with the explicit commitment that they will NEVER HAVE kids? Is this not "marriage"? some sort of sub-marriage?

I figured you got called a woman often enough already, so I went with something else derisive that was equally accurate.

And that's why you employ your slippery slope arguments all the time---because you have a preconceived notion that you want to get across. You're as blind as those idiots who think stoning a rape victim to death can be rationalized because they think she's immoral for having been raped.

It is marriage, naturally. It's an exception to the rule though, most people that get married have children in mind.

Marriage at its core is about the union of a man and a woman with the intention of starting a family....with union of man and woman the basic minimum.

Such a foolish debate imo. They are not hurting anyone and just want the same rights as hetero couples. We have much bigger problems to worry about than gay marriage.

Not true. The English law definition of marriage is:

'The voluntary union for life of one man and one woman to the exclusion of all others.'

Seriously, it is a completely stupid debate. If homosexuals already have the right to cohabit, and in America they do, what purpose does it serve to prevent them from getting married?

To be fair mate, Im being a bit facetious, shadow projection isn't quite as simple as 'he says he hates something it means he luuurves it'. It's more that whatever triggers an emotional reaction usually corresponds to an aspect of ourseves that we haven't been willing to acknowledge. But usually a more oblique one that just the opposite of what we say being true. But whatever it is, the energy of that denial is what amplifies rhe reaction to the external something. The reaction isn't always antipathy so it doesn't by any means only apply to negative reactions. In effect shadow theory just says that strong emotions are all self centered and point to some repressed aspect of ourself we should examine.

Not dislliking something though, just getting irrationally angry about it.....which to be fair I don't get the feeling you really do about bummers, so Im basically just bamming you up. Allot of rabid gay haters sure are over compensating though.:hump::atu:

When I find myself getting really worked up about something I get a note pad out and try to work out why. Good thing to do, I think, expands your perspective. I think deep down we know why we're getting pissed off, if you're honest the answer comes pretty quick.

'I looked and looked & this I came to see,
That what I thought was you & you
    Was really me & me!'

With me I have strong views on many things:

theism, Sexuality, roles of men and women, religion, tradition vs anti-establishment, race, boxing blah blah blah

Gay Marriage is just one of those things.

Basically I'm against the extreme liberal philosophy of "it is feels good do it". I like order and morality and see the relevance of many "old fashioned values". People that think they are "progressive" tend to gear twoards accepting any and everything and challenging the status quo JUST for he sake of it. That irritates me. Society may indeed one day degenerate into anarchy as a result of the extreme liberals, but I would always do my part to go against that tide...even if it proves ultimately futile.

I agree some people's 'liberalism' degenerates into total relativism. It's like they see the world in 2d and just refuse to make any hierarchies or value judgements between things whatsoever.

I think it's important to recognize that some outcomes are better than others, just that the basis for choosing between them should be human happiness not tradition.

for my personal opinion, this is a strange one..

strange that guys wanna be with guys or girls wanna be with girls,

strange that even if they do.. they'd want to get "married"

    strange that they can't

considering in my view, we should be much much MUCH more secular, i don't think this should even be an issue

That's because America is the only "western" Nation that "professes" to be a God fearing Nation. As such they at least try to preserve some values.
